Great food, attentive and friendly staff. The only slight downside was the seating arrangement, sofas with low tables was a bit awkward especially if if someone had mobility or movement issues.

This was my second visit for afternoon tea and myself and mum thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very helpful and friendly. A good variety of finger sandwiches, cakes and scones. Very pleased, thank you

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience in the Fitzwilliam. It was made even better by the gentleman who served us. He took into account the fact that my wife was pregnant and they changed some of the menu items accordingly. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed the Craft afternoon tea. The fruit mocktail was very nice and complimented the food. The service was excellent, friendly and inviting. I would recommend this to my friends and family.

I feel as though it was quite expensive for what we received, then there was a 10% service charge fee on top which we were never advised of just expected to pay by the lady at the till. Very unprofessional we were going to leave a tip but as we were just expected to pay service fee and were not made aware of it even after paying £40pp for the lunch we did not leave a tip, very unprofessional. Apart from that the food was lovely.

The staff could not have been any more helpful or friendly, they really ensured all our needs were met and created a lovely atmosphere. Food was delicious and had a great variation for an afternoon tea. There was so much food the staff packed the remaining food for us to take home. Would highly recommend trying some of the additional cocktails on offer as they were fantastic. Lovely treat and again, would highly recommend others to book.

Service was terrible couldn’t find a waiter we weren’t offered tea , as expected with afternoon tea Sandwiches tasted like they were pre made and kept in the fridge -dry and stale Sweet we’re cut in half between 2 people Overall for the price the service and quality just did not cut it We were also unaware of the service charge at £20

Had a wonderful Crafternoon Tea at the Fitzwilliam. We were made to feel very special and that was down to Terry who was serving us. We were celebrating 2 birthdays and he very kindly brought each of them a little plate of treats with a candle. Thanks for making it so special.

We had booked this for a friends birthday. We had been to several places for afternoon tea for each of our birthdays and this was by far the poorest. There was zero ambience- tables were being set while we were there. One other table came and left quickly for the 4 hours we were there. We sat in the restaurant which has no ambience at all. The sandwiches were good but honestly I felt bad for my friend taking her there! Not what I had expected. Would not recommend or rebook. All that said our initial server was so lovely! The ones who took over not quite as attentive…

Everything was perfect. It’s was a lovely day for us 4 busy tired mums to relax. Terry are server was the best. He was funny, attentive and made the experience so much more enjoyable. Will definitely be back again.

The experience was fantastic. There were 3 vegans in our party but that wasn't an issue. We were catered for very well. All of the food tasted delicious. My only negative was that we had to ask for the tea. We had already eaten the sandwiches and scones and there was still no sign of a pot of tea, so we had to ask for it. Otherwise, it was a lovely treat day.

This was a wonderful pre-Christmas experience. The atmosphere was relaxed and not too busy and at no time did we feel rushed. Special thanks must go to Terry who could not have been more helpful and attentive. The food was lovely and plentiful - so much so that we struggled to eat the desserts that were provided (though we did manage that night at home!). I would recommend this experience for a special treat!

Afternoon was very nice a good balance between savoury and sweet. Everything explained by our server and tea plentiful. As both myself and my friend were celebrating birthdays we were given a lovely extra plate with congratulations from the staff. Nice touch.

We spent a lovely afternoon here for my besties birthday, the Fitzwilliam were very accommodating to her gluten allergy and the overall service was exceptional, Terry couldn't have done more for us.

Very disappointing. The standard of food, £80 for two was not good although the quality was of an acceptable level. Furthermore the hotel had the audacity to add a further £8 service charge to the bill without my authority. Hand on heart could not recommend their Festive Afternoon Tea

The best afternoon tea is definitely to be had at The Fitzwilliam Hotel in Belfast. I have had the pleasure of experiencing the Festive afternoon tea and also a birthday afternoon tea and both were wonderful experiences thankyou.

Excellent value for money. Food was delicious, hot food to start followed by sandwiches, scones & sweet treats served with a glass of prosecco & unlimited tea. We were seated in a small booth which was lovely. Staff were attentive but not overly so & very professional. We had a couple of drinks afterwards and did not feel rushed to finish up. Would definitely recommend.

The most disappointing 5-star afternoon tea EVER! I didn't expect a personal chef to prepare my tray, but I did expect, at the very least, that the food wouldn't arrive cold at the table. Only the scones were warm; everything else felt straight out of the fridge, including the biscuits. When I asked for a pot of coffee, it arrived lukewarm. Upon requesting the tea menu, the waiter claimed they only had normal tea. However, later, when a new waitress started, a tea trolley with a variety of choices appeared in the room. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, far from what one would anticipate in a 5-star hotel. I definitely don't recommend it.

Well presented afternoon tea but scones were very hard in fact inedible which is the main part of the tea! Not 5 star quality. Good Vegan option.

We have been to a lot of Afternoon teas but we all said the Fitzwilliam hotel was the best we have ever been to. We will definitely be going back when we next return to Belfast. The staff, the attention to detail, the overall experience and the lovely birthday treat they brought out for my daughter. I would highly recommend the Fitzwilliam hotel for afternoon tea.

The Fitzwilliam Afternoon Tea was a perfect end to our weekend trip. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. The presentation was good and my daughter who has a nut allergy had her own individual cake stand with very similar cakes but obviously nut free. The only negative was the dining room, it had no outlook and no windows however the food and service was sufficient compensation!
