Interesting menu. Drinks fairly pricey overall. Service generally good. Ambience-meh— All hard surfaces so very noisy!

Acadia is a new member of the central park south restaurant community. It has quickly become the most intriguing selection of ever changing food with a stress on innovative cuisine. The lamb dishes are amazing, the skewers are great and change often. The breads and sides are great, and do are the martinis and lemonades. The lunches are very good and the dinners are amazing. The wait staff is very helpful.

Food was OK—potatoes a bit salty (and I love salt)! But the big issue was the service was very amateurish. Mezze came out and bread didn’t arrive until long after, when I prompted the server. Staff was clearing our mezze plates while we were still eating and rather insistent that they needed to replace our plates and silverware—that was bad timing/coursing. If I hadn’t been on a date with someone relatively new I would’ve told them to come back later when we were finished. Also, on 3 (3!) occasions staff tried to serve us things we hadn’t ordered. On the 3rd occasion they actually just left a dessert that we hadn’t ordered with us—after we had paid the bill! For over $100/person, I expect better. Way better.
