We live in the neighborhood and have dined here many times over the years. This was our first visit since Covid. Food is still good, but sides were small and steaks were not cut thick as in the past. This resulted in a slightly overcooked steak without any char. Service is still very good, along with the atmosphere. Probably won't rush back considering the price point and other steakhouse options in town.

Mother’s Day brunch. Everyone enjoyed everything, just was sad to not have my favorite chicken and waffles for brunch. Mom was happy so that is all that counts

Our experience was wonderful. Our server, Victoria, was fabulous. The food at Abe & Louie’s never disappoints. There were five people in our party and all of us had an absolutely outstanding meal.

"I love the ambience of this place – typical of all great steakhouses. I definitely would return to try more dishes. I had the small filet and it was cooked perfectly and was more than enough for one person. Everyone seemed to enjoy the wine and the baked potatoes were out of this world.. Service was well-timed and friendly and it was a great spot to celebrate my son's graduation from Berklee College of Music!

The location of our table was but ideal right near the hostess station and the bar. We actually like sitting at the bar but this table was also right next to the larger dinning room and with it's location it was quite loud and a very busy area with staff and guests. Plus the behavior of some guests in the bar with children was another negative. The manager I believe did go over to talk to the dad's but they had no control over their kids. I feel badly for whoever ended up next to them. The food. The Maryland softshell crab app was very good and the legs nice and plump. Definitely a good special addition. We got the bone in ribeye and Wagu (middle one). They were both very good though the ribeye was a bit over cooked (my partner wouldn't return). The ribeye had a nice char and otherwise was very good. The Wagu was also very good. The broccoli was cooked perfectly and the whipped potatoes were also very good. Much better than our last streak dinner at Smith & Wollensly and Pellana. Cocktails were outstanding. The Manhattan had just enough sweet from the peach and the Fashion Forward was also very good. They were the star of the night. This might sound a bit odd to include in a review that's typically all about the did and service but it stood out for both of us so definitely worth noting. The bathrooms both men's and women's were a mess with overflowing trash and no toilet paper in the women's room. When you are in a high end restaurant you expect the bathrooms to be something you never give a second thought but this was not the case for either of us. It's a Saturday and it's busy but make keeping your restrooms clean and stocked a priority.

Let me first say that Abe & Louies is one of our favorite Boston Steak houses. However our experience last night did not measure up to its usual excellence. It went down hill as soon as the waiter asked for drinks and we said that we were not drinking tonight. He came back after we received bread and said "since you are not having drinks, do you want to order?" I have never had a waiter make a comment about not drinking here or at any restaurant. From that point on the busboy was at our table more than the waiter who we did not see after ordering until he asked about desert. While the steaks are always of good quality, they were not as hot as usual and the 8 oz filet for one guest was cold. Of course since the waiter never came back to check how are steaks were, there was nothing she could do but eat. The busboy, who we saw often, was very good. I will be back to try again, but I will not want that waiter again.

From the moment we entered the restaurant we were impressed. Our waiter was incredible - his knowledge of the menu and his recommendations were perfect. We both had a martini and the presentation was great. We had the lobster dumplings which were light and delicious. And the steak was prepared exactly how we ordered it. The caesar salad, baked potato and dessert were also very tasty. Definitely will dine here again and again!

2nd time having dinner at Abe & Louie! What a wonderful experience. We opted to sit at the bar as we had met Paul - one of the bartenders at Raffles. The service is impeccable, cocktails are beautifully presented and the meal was phenomenal. We ordered the french onion soup, au gratin potatoes and the A5 strip loin. Needless to say the A5 was worth every penny.

Love this place and always have a good experience. Be careful when paying a $1,675.00 tab with a debit card with fraud protection. They rang it through 3 times and when it was flagged by BOA we were told it would take a few days to refund. No biggie but just saying?

We had a lovely night celebrating a new job. Jeffrey is the absolute best! Thank you for taking care of us. The steak was perfect and veggies also wonderful. Wine selection extensive and cocktails always spot on.

Excellent service, excellent steaks and generous sides. My only comment was the opinion soup was a little bland, but still pretty good. According to my wife, who keeps track, they have the second best Espresso Martini she ha# ever had….and she knows. We had a great time and will definitely be back

Took my son to celebrate the last day of the college year. We had a great time. His N.Y. strip was excellent, and my grilled swordfish Provençal were superb. Waiters and staff are the best.

Vey nice atmosphere, staff very nice and courteous. If I was stark eater I think I would have enjoyed it more. The clam chowder was very salty. The overall experience was nice next time I will order a steak.

Server was absolutely terrible. Did not even come to the table for almost 15 min after we ordered a drink and only came when i called him over from a nearby table after he had walked by us at least 3 times. Same was true at the end of the meal. We had been finished for at least 15 mins and he was serving the table next to us and did not even turn to look at us. had to yet again call him loudly to get his attention as the first time he did not look over. We had order drinks, apps, and steaks so it was not like we split a cup a soup and ice water so he had "more important" tables to attend to. He just was a very bad server. Abe & Louie's is better than that. Truly terrible service. food was good. But there are a lot of steak houses in Boston.
