Showcasing modern Italian cuisine in a lively setting, a Tavola, which means “at the table” in Italian, is a family-friendly restaurant featuring an open kitchen serving wood-fired pizzas, antipasti, soup and salads, paninis and sandwiches, alongside other Italian favorites. Our open kitchen and wood-fired pizza oven make every meal a feast for the eyes, as well as the palette. Bad experience. Our server, Katie, was not attentive, she forgot our wine order, after waiting for almost 25 minutes, she could not open the sparkling wine bottle so she needed another server to do this, appetizers took over 20 minutes to arrive, entrees took over a half hour to arrive, and 2 tiramisus took over 20 minutes to arrive. During our wait for dessert, we see Katie talking and carrying on with fellow servers in the kitchen, which mind you, the restaurant is less than half full. We came to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. I eluded to that in the reservation notes. I reminded the server of her name and birthday. Keep in mind that a table next to us had a birthday song sung to them by the staff, but when desserts came out for us, no song was sung. It disappointed my daughter, who is still young. Before leaving, someone turned up the lights as to suggest “get out”. We will not be returning.

Initially sat out on the patio and requested to be moved, secondary to very loud children running around. Request was taken care of right away . bruschetta was amazing as always

A Tavola is excellent. It is a fabulous dining experience. Food is great...best Italian food and menu offerings I have experienced here in New Orleans. Great atmosphere, service is excellent, menu offerings are just right, and taste is out of this world! Will recommend to others and certainly be back!

Salads were large and delicious. The grilled bruschetta is to die for and large enough for two coupled with a small salad. Will definitely return.

The ambience, drinks, and service were excellent. The food was very good with minor criticisms. The grilled shrimp and crab au gratin was very rich, so cheesy that you could barely taste the crab. Pasta dishes were better.

We were so looking forward to a repeat excellent dining experience. Regrettably, their fish options were severely limited, being entirely out of one of their fish dishes. Made choices constricted. We were disappointed. They really need to expand their seafood menu.

Have eaten at A Travola several times and always enjoyed; however, this experience was not very good . The wait staff did not understand what we were asking for. The salmon was over sauced and cook well done , when ordered it medium rare. The pizza was very good although.

Service was terrible. Waitress was not very attentive and they were not slammed. Food was not good either, especially for the prices they charge.

The food was surprisingly very good and our waiter, Ivy, was excellent. Ordered three of the appetizers for our group - tuna, brussels sprouts, baked cheese with marinara - and all were great. Entrees were good as well. We will go back.

This was a business dinner and they forgot to put in the order of our guest. Also, the food that was ordered and c served 15 minors before our guest was barely warm.

Wonderful experience! Server was awesome and very attentive, the food came out great and very tasty. 3 stars because the host sat us in a section that seemed far away from our servers section, we were also the only table sat in this section that seemed hidden from the rest of the restaurant I think we would have had an even better experience if we were sat on the main dining room floor with the rest of the patrons dining

Second year we went here for our Valentines Day dinner, and we will keep the tradition going moving on. GREAT food, awesome, attentive staff, and a little gem you wouldn't think about since its right across the parking lot from a mall. DO NOT miss a chance to try this place.

Met up with girlfriends for a “catch up” lunch. Warned the server that we were not in a big hurry, so she was attentive but overall let us have the time that we needed. Food was great- we all started with the stuffed artichoke soup which we raved about. A new entree was tried- the orzo pasta with grilled cauliflower and shrimp. Very tasty and a generous portion, so we all got to sample that delight. Two of us shared the always on point crab cake duo and salad. This entree NEVER disappoints! All in all we had a fantastic afternoon and are ready to setup our next get together. Happy Hour is in our sights next time so we can sample the multiple appetizers which all sound yummy.

Visiting A Tavola was a recommendation for a birthday date night. I can honestly say I am very happy with this choice, the food was exquisite as well as our waiter was pleasant and attentive.

Always a winner. Predictably delicious. The eggplant app was especially yummy tonight! And the Caesar was crisp and cold. Trout is the bomb diggity!!
