Drove down from Montclair to have dinner at 87 Sussex and we had a wonderful time and enjoyed a great dinner. From the Steak tartare, Hoppin poppers, Foie gras to the Barramundi and Braised short ribs everything was delicious. The staff was very attentive. We will be sure to come back.

We have dined at 87 Sussex on several prior occasions for dinner, and on each occasion we were thoroughly delighted. Tried brunch as the menu intrigued. It proved to be outstanding. Their takes and adaptations on standards like eggs Benedict hit the mark, including not drowning the egg in sauce, which came on the side. Drinks were great..try the aperol flight. Recommend dining al fresco, weather permitting. Service is friendly and attentive without being intrusive. In a word..GO

Second time..wonderful space and very pleasant vibe. Staff is the Best!!! The food is very good it’s just that some dishes try too hard! New place feeling its way…if the keep the standards high, 87 will be around a long time…

The food is outstanding. Especially loved the escargot wontons. Scallops were cooked perfectly. Parking can be a challenge.

Dined at 87 Sussex for Mother’s Day brunch. All of the employees were friendly and attentive. Limited food choices that were very expensive for small portions. We were a table of four adults and we were put upstairs with the crying kids..most likely won’t be back.

A great addition to Jersey City. This high end restaurant provides a NYC feel but in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood that is easily accessible. The decor certainly enhances the experience but it's the food that is most important. And the dishes we had were top-caliber and tasty. Yes Chef!
