Recently modernised, Hamlet Restaurant compliments the building’s 18th century charm with a modern twist.

The food ranges from a variety of traditional English and European cuisine, with a Sunday carvery that is not to be missed! We operate a ‘help yourself’ buffet option at our cold selection table for breakfast along with our Full English Breakfast option.

Lunchtime dining offers a choice of two and three course menus available.

Our carvery selection changes throughout the season. You can always enjoy a minimum of 3 premium roast meats ( Gammon, Beef, and Turkey crown). All carvery is served with mouth-watering roast potatoes, fresh seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and a luxurious red wine gravy and save some space for our delicious array of sweet treats. There is also a vegetarian special of the day, varying from dish to dish each Sunday, so no one is left out of the fun! We are committed to ensuring that their customers’ needs are met, so vegan options are also available upon request.

Have been here lots of times now nwaver been disappointed service mark and team look after us well food outstanding value brilliant where else would you get 3 course meal and drink for 10 99 booking easy plenty of parking will carry on comeing here thanks guys xx

Arrived for our carvery lunch and we’re greeted by smiling and attentive staff, free first drink was an unexpected bonus, food was a nice mix of well cocked offerings and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Looking forward to another booking sometime soon.

A pleasant Sunday lunch price very reasonable for a basic meal. Main course very nice lots of selection Yorkshire puddings a bit stodgy. Selection of sweets nice could of done with some cream as an alternative to custard. No sweet spoons had to use soup spoons. Overall good value.

Was our second visit , this time quality of food had dropped & there was no service at all , had to clear own plates. Just no staff seem to be in the dining area constantly, just one member of staff rushing through every now and then. wasn’t offered our free drink that came with the carvery deal. Even for the £10 three courses with what is actually on offer isn’t great value for money

My sister was staying with me over the weekend and we went to The Hamlet for Sunday Roast Carvery. Lovely hotel, very friendly staff and very reasonably priced. Would very much recommend it.

No service from staff so was unaware of starters and desserts. Carvery was an ok selection of veg but was just about warm nothing hot! The restaurant had no atmosphere or staff on hand, those that were present just slumped about. The decor is out of date and felt tired- if I was a guest at the hotel I’d be very disappointed. Would not recommend wasting time or money visiting here.

Strange place. Read the reviews but decided to give it a go. Not really set up as we expected it to be. Two of us and sat at a table for 6 or more? Service was good, drinks ordered and arrived quickly. Not so sure when its full though. Only two persons attending. Quick explanation of how it all works and off we went. Meat options were very good and plentiful if you wished for it. Veg was a little less successful. Some veg missing, apparently we were late customers !!! Only 14:30 booking and we were early. The rest of the veg, brussels, ok, carrots and turnips. Which were rock hard. We could not eat them. The Yorkshire puds were huge and very tasty. A nice pudding selection, small cakes and a sticky toffee pudding. I’m not sure if there was more. Not when we got there. Overall, I’d say we would try it again. Apparently it is being modernised bit by bit. Lets hope it all goes well and the vegetables improve .

nice to have a full sunday carvery half price and so close to christmas.....had to go home for an afternoon nap i ate so much!!!
