Everything was as expected. AWESOME!!!! We enjoyed eating on the patio. Staff and even the other guests are very nice. Food is as always amazing.

The food was very good but the service was terrible. Our waitress was unfriendly and impatient. She delivered an empty pepper shaker and made the serving spoon fall into the pasta and didn’t help clean up the mess or offer more napkins. We felt rushed to pay the bill. Overall, the experience was lacking.

We liked trying out 801 local but they had some definite misses. The Ahi Tuna appetizer was very unbalanced, there was a signifigant amount of unseasoned tuna sitting on top of a too small pile of pineapple and jicama leaving much of the tuna kinda weirdly bland. The side of brussel sprouts was also way undercooked being very hard and tough, the roasting was nice but needed more time steaming or boiling first to cook them all the way through. The steam was fantastic and so was the service and drinks.

Service, ambiance, and - most importantly - food and drinks were outstanding. We had two kiddos in our party of eight with us and everyone was wonderfully accommodating. Shout out to our server Mike, who could not have been more nice or professional. Will definitely be back with family or friends in tow.

We had a terrific meal at 801 Local. Fresh, high-quality ingredients and food prepared in-house elevate the offerings here over your run-of-the-mill steak and seafood place. Everything we had was delicious - the Parker House rolls, salad, and seared scallops were excellent. The ambiance is casual - to me, the food was much better than the ambiance - a sort of nautical theme that seemed a little out of place in St. Louis - suggested. But it was fine. They do serve seafood! It's a great place to splurge on really good steak or seafood without having to go to a super fancy white tablecloth place - but the food is just as good. The service was friendly and professional. I definitely would go back.
