I grew primarily around Puget Sound as well as the Chesapeake bay, and this is some of the best seafood I've ever had! The quality was perfect, and the chef's presentations exquisite. My wife and I definitely plan to return for future occasions. It was a bit on the pricey side for a full course meal, but for a few times a year, definitely worth it - or just happy hour for oysters and drinks from time to time!

We had 3 of the 6 people get sick that night. We think that we may have had some bad oysters.

A simply superb dinner. Not that it matters, but I had not realized 801 Fish is a mini-chain. It was an elegant, classy evening, from the moment I was greeted by the host, through a delicious Manhattan and sublime, super-fresh dishes. I had a few oysters, a lovely salad with goat cheese, and what was billed as Black Cod. Aka sable, I'd never had it as a cooked entree, always as cold deli. The presentation was akin to a bouillabaisse, and the fish was "like butta." The service was impeccable, the piscine decor fun, and the noise level minimal. Mile-High City is not a town for pescetarians, but if you find yourself in Denver looking for a high-end escape from meat, go here.

Four of us ate there last Sunday night. My wife’s salad dressing was too heavy on the vinegar My Branzino fish was horrible. They serve it with the head and spine. That was bigger than the amount of meat. It is hard to eat with a fish head staring at you. My wife and the other couple had lots of oysters and I had a shrimp cocktail. I know that is pricey but the bill was over $500.00. Every Sunday the four of us eat out at high end restaurants but the cost of the dinner was in my opinion, very overpriced.

Hi Gary, Thank you so much for your feedback, as we always want to find ways to improve whenever we can. Chef is looking into the green goddess dressing to see if it was made wrong and was too acidic, so thank you for bringing this to our attention! I do apologize that our Whole Fried Branzino does come as a whole fish, pre-filleted to make it easier to eat. We have served it just as the fillets upon request and would gladly have done that for you too. I wish we had known that you were both so displeased while you were here and we would gladly have gotten you fresh plates. I am sorry that your experience was not up to your expectations nor of value. We will be starting a Sunday Supper Pre-Fixe soon, and truly hope that you will give us another chance then.

Great selection of oysters. Fish cooked perfectly. Service very attentive and polite. Good wine list…especially like that there is more than one choice of German Rieslings on the list.

This was a lovely meal, in a lovely restaurant - less than 10 mins from the DCPA. Lots of things on the menu that we have to go back and try but everything we had was top notch.

The service was so friendy, helpful and professional. We could not have asked for more. Both our entrees, soups and drinks were wonderful. It was a lovely night out!
