3Eleven Kitchen & Cocktails is an American eatery in the West End Historic District of Downtown Dallas that embraces the era of the Kennedy Administration and the revival of this historical district found in northwest downtown. Inspired by Jay Khan and Chef John Moore the restaurant is guided by the simple philosophy, “Every ingredient has a purpose.” Serving farm-to-market fare and scratch cocktails with a vintage twist, 3Eleven is open daily for lunch and dinner service. We had the grilled chicken and the Chilean sea bass. The sea bass on a bed of herbed rice and asparagus ragu and covered in an avocado verde sauce was absolutely delicious! A bit salty but delicious! Chef came to our table to talk about the salt and we were offered a dessert on the house. Have the cheesecake guys! It was delicious! Creamy and not overly sweet!

Upon arrival we stood at the front to check in for reservations for 4. We were seated in the back at near the restroom. The table was too small for the space the seated us at and it rocked and made noise. The restroom smelled like sewage which seeped out and was a very loud smell since we were in the back. Our waited was very non chalant and direct. He had other bigger tables and was assisting the other waitress so we had to wait for everything. We waited for 20 minutes for drinks. He rushed taking our order. He brought my husbands salad out with no meat when the menu said bacon. When my husband asked he said oh yea boss I gotcha??? It came with the salad it wasn’t extra we didn’t understand. My husbands steak was ordered well but under cooked. When asked advice about an item on the menu he told it is was not his favorite and was not seasoned well. I thought he was kidding but he was serious. My daughter’s food was wrong and after we ate because he was helping the table in front of us she didn’t get the right item she ordered till after she had eaten. The sprite was disgusting tasted like someone poured water in our drinks. My last refill he brought to me was full of bread and the cup was dirty. This was a HORRIBLE first experience and we will never be back!

I wanted to like this place but frankly, they don’t seem to have a good idea of what they are doing. There were numerous missteps - unfriendly hostess, no napkins at table, no steak knives, wobbly table, no walnuts in walnut salad (!), no sauce on steak (honestly I didn’t really care about the sauce but you expect items to arrive as they are described in the menu). It could have been saved if the food was good. It was not. Short ribs had no flavor at all and steak, although not overcooked, had poor flavor. I felt ill after eating here.

I am not sure how this place is rated so high by other users. Nothing in here rises above 2 star rating. It's cheap looking, has unassuming menu, very limited wine list. Perhaps just $$ rating is something to pay attention to. You get what you pay for

Mark was amazing! Very knowledgeable and attentive! He gave great suggestions regarding both the food menu and cocktail menus. An amazing dining experience, will definitely be returning!
