wonderful staff and great food. Lovely ambience with beautiful scenery. Tuna tartare, lobster with ravioli, and the duck breasts were some highlights of the evening.

Based on our first dining experience on Mothers Day, we returned to treat my visiting brother to a special dining experience. I thought he would especially appreciate Restaurant 2941 since he was once in the fine dining business himself. And they didn’t disappoint. Noticing the same details we did on our first visit, he was drawn to the atmosphere and quality of service, from the bartender to the hostess, waiter and servers. Our waiter Julio was on point, friendly and knowledgeable of the food and wine, with just the right amount of discreet visits to the table. The food was spectacular in presentation and flavors, and wine pairings matched well. We never felt hurried and were quite content as we withdrew from the table. Based on his industry knowledge, my brother thought the high end price to be quite a good value for the quality, on par with any other restaurants of its caliber. Highly recommended.

This was a very special experience for us. We arrived for an elegant dinner and were provided with outside seating on a beautiful evening for our 5 Course Chef's Tasting Experience. It was well spaced out between each course and our server Elie was amazing from start to finish. We both agreed the food quality, presentation, taste and service was over the top exceptional. We learned that the menu changes frequently and cannot wait to return next month to do it again. Special thank you to Elie and the brigade of back of house workers that put together some of the best food we have had in years. In our opinion this experience could have earned them 2 Michelin Stars.

This was my second meal at 2941 and it was just as delicious as the first. I suggest arriving early and appreciating the outdoor setting. With waterfalls, lakes and woods, it has the most beautiful exterior of any restaurant in the close-in DC suburbs. The clear star of the evening was the tuna tartare appetizer. This was a substantial, spicy starter was shared with my son and his buddy. Everyone loved it. We also ordered a 3-cheese plate. The Wisconsin cheese was outstanding. The cheese from Queens, New York (they make cheese in Queens NY?), was good. The French cheese --- not so much. It had a very strong, somewhat unpleasant after taste. My son is a cheese monger and he thought that it was probably just overripe. Two of us had lamb chops and my son had ribeye. The ribeye was excellent and the foam potatoes are an interesting and tasty novelty. The lamb was quite good, especially the quite tangy aborigine and mashed potato sides. The lamb was very tasty and tender, but except for the surface area it was basically purple (almost raw). I enjoyed it but I will probably asked for it to be cooked a bit more the next time. We each had a different wine. The Pinot Noir and Chateau Neuf du Pape are both highly recommended. My Sancerre was a bit boring, but I prefer the crispness and citrus of a New Zealand vice French Sauvignon Blanc (probably just personal taste). I did not participate in desserts, although the coffee was excellent. It was pretty evident that the two adult “boys” were quite enamored by their desserts. Finally, service was outstanding. Michael was extremely knowledgeable and attentive without being bothersome. He also didn't take himself too seriously, which sometimes happens in a restaurant of this quality. The staff refreshed silverware, plates, and water glasses at just the right times. I will definitely ask for Michael when I return to 2941. Not inexpensive, but I thought it was a good overall value.

Our waiter was terrific. He explained the ingredients of each dish very well provided background on the wine. The view of the surrounding landscape through the large windows was beautiful: a lake, ponds, lush vegetation. Two geese with their babies made an appearance on the patio. The food was mostly fantastic, but the lamb chops were overdone. A great restaurant for special occasions.

The Sommelier was particularly knowledgeable and the wine selections outstanding. The service was impeccable, the views outstanding, parking was abundant and free....the somewhat pricey selections were well worth it. Great place to take a date.

Great restaurant for special occasions. The Mother's Day menu was very nice, however the 3 course meal price was very expensive. It did not include any drinks or side dishes. The staff were very attentive and did a good job. The presentation of the dishes was nicely done. We sat in the covered ceiling space by the window and it wasn't as noise which was great. All in all, our family of five enjoyed our meal.

This experience was Mother's Day prix fixe menu. The food for both my wife and I was excellent with one exception. I had the duck breast and this came with spaetzle. The spaetzle was mediocre. It was more like french fries than spaetzle to me. Very crispy. The taste was bland also. Everything else was perfect: service, ambiance. As we have always encountered when dining at 2941.
