Staff was very good and attentive. We ate on rooftop. Was comfortable and somewhat intimate. Nice place and good food. Portions were also good and filling. Will definitely return next time we are in town.

Really nice Mother's Day Lunch. Wife's eggplant dish was good but served room temp... Think it was tough day being Mothers Day but had very friendly server and really enjoyed our meals... Pizza was fantastic. :)

It was busy because it was Mother's Day however we didn't have any issues especially since it was my family's first time being there. Very good service and delicious food!

Great service. Amazing food. The main indoor eating area can get pretty loud(it’s where the bar is), but that’s okay. We enjoyed a nice meal and time together.

We started with a very rickety table that should have been replaced, but they eventually brought in another table from outside, so we appreciated the effort made, but they knew about the issue for a while, so it should have been dealt with before. Eggplant parmigiana was excellent, as were the Brussels sprouts, branzino, and sea bass. What was disappointing was the desserts. We had the Nutella cake and the butterscotch pudding. Not much flavor, and they tasted stale, like they had been sitting in the fridge for a while. I would go again for dinner but skip dessert unless they change it.

We came on a Friday night. It was not busy at all. We ordered margaritas and the bartender told us to order at our own risk because the lime juice was off, we didn’t understand what that meant so we ordered and it tasted awful. Why would they serve the lime juice if it was off. The waiter did not attend to us too often when he barely had any tables and seemed annoyed when we asked him anything. This used to be my favorite restaurant in Carlsbad but sadly it has gone down hill.

We sat on the deck and enjoyed cocktails, appetizers, and a pizza. The artichokes were amazing! Flavorful, tender and down right yummy! The view was spectacular (of the ocean), and everyone was super friendly. Our waiter was superb with lots of attention without bothering. I would recommend it for a nice, relaxing, low key drink or dinner. Bring a jacket.. it does get breezy.

We've been there a few times and last night we just were not impressed unfortunately. We placed an order for a couple appetizers for the table and cocktails. Soon after we placed the dinner order including a salad and that was going to come before the pasta and pizza. Unfortunately, while we were still enjoying the appetizers, the salad and all our dinners came at the same time. Didn't even have a place to put it all and we felt really rushed like they were trying to rush turn the table on us. Really uncool. The waiter noticed it and said "the kitchen was on fire" but he didn't do anything. The experience was lacking and we left unsatisfied. The tip of course reflected the experience. I would not return with friends again. Not good. Food was ok but nothing special, and the experience coujld have been great but they dropped the ball.

We come to this Resturant a lot! It’s a local favorite and we love the roof top bar. The food is usually good. Tonight the fish was horrible! $40 for sea bass and it was fried so oily and gross. Our salad was great and service is always good!

I have been here a couple times and have a similar experience each time. For the four of us, the food ranges from pretty good to so-so. Salmon was ok, the shrimp fettuccini was pretty good and the baked rigatoni was good. My Mezcalarita was tasty but there was so much ice in it that it was maybe a 2-3 ounce drink. The wine pours were well short of what is common. $22 for a Rombauer Chard and it was a light pour. The menu said Bread Upon Request so we asked for some and there were given 4 small pieces and a dipping bowl with oil and vinegar. No side plates and no spoon to share it. We had to ask for those. Just not well thought through. Although the seating was wide open, they sat us in the back room right next to the door (59 degrees outside) where a beeeze would blow past each time it was opened. We asked to move. Then we watched as other people were seated and it was like they attempted to sit each new group by the door and when they asked to move the next party that came in was sat at that table. And that repeated a few times like it is intentional to see who they could get there and stay. As far as the ambiance, the front looked festive and open. The back room was just not that exciting. The chairs we sat in were hard surfaced and the room was not appealing. All in all, it was disappointing. I felt like the restaurant was cheap in their offering, the service mediocre and the food was hit and miss. I have given them three chances and will go somewhere else next time. I think the issue is that this intersection in Carlsbad has turned into a tourist trap and this restaurant is just feet away. There are many great local restaurants just down the street, and favorites of ours, and we will go there next time.

First time on top deck. Watched the final women’s bb game. Margarita pizza and Cesar salad were delicious and sharable. White wine cold and crisp but purchased a tad expensive for amount served. Professional staff all friendly and appropriately responsive.

Atmosphere was great, service great, however the food was okay… definitely not worth the price. Everything seemed fresh but tasted like I ordered off the kids menu. Just not a lot of flavor.

We ordered the hot honey pepperoni pizza, Cesar salad, ravioli bolognese, eggplant Parmesan and meatballs we shared all between 3 people and loved every bite! Generous portions so we all had leftovers for lunch the next day.

Very, very poor service. Took 20 minutes for server to acknowledge we were there. Food below average. Many much better Italian restaurants in the area

I have dined here on many occasions & the food & wine is excellent with a relaxed ambience . Spent my Birthday and had a blast . The only negative was confusion about table sitting and not clearly knowing who was arranging seating for our reservation and I had multiple servers giving me different information . Would 100% return as it is one of my favorite restaurant options.

Service was not very good. Didn’t get mich attention or feel welcome, also took forever on everything. And food was also just sub par. Probably won’t bother coming back.

Food came out lukewarm. One meal was actually cold. Server took it back and ended up comping it. The gnocchi was so over sauced you couldn’t taste anything else. Overall the meals were just not good! Only saving grace was our waiter. He was nice, knowledgeable and it wasn’t his fault the food was terrible!

Top three lasagna I’ve ever had. Coming from a 52 year old Italian male. I e had my fair share of lasagna in my time. This is top of the line. Delicious. Very noisy. Floor is concrete. Great for kids.

The restaurant is spaced out modern and beautiful. The hostess was pleasant. The server was great, and the food was very good. Good selection of wine as well.

My food was fantastic but my mom’s was so salty it was not eatable…my brother’s pasta was undercooked and not even close to al dente. The desserts were amazing. The server did his best but they seemed to be understaffed. It was super loud. It’s a fun restaurant but no suitable for family.
