This is not the same Brunch at the Palm Court from several years ago. It was good but unfortunately all I could remember is what it was like before and it was 20% what it was like before. Had I not known what it could have been it would have been good. But we had a great experience service was alright and food was pretty good.

The buffet brunch is nowhere near what the photos show at what to expect. No shrimp, no crab legs no dessert tray. Nothing was what appeared to be in all the photographs. The food was mediocre. Very disappointed will not book again.

We had reservations for Sunday brunch and were escorted to a table in the bar area. I'm typically approached at this point for a beverage order; perhaps a menu or information about ordering. It turned out we had to take all initiative. We went to the bar and placed a drink order. We asked about the brunch and were directed up a level where an all self-service buffet had been out of our sight line. Our small table was not set with coffee cups, as tables in the buffet area were, and we had to ask about that. No salt or pepper was on our table, and we had to go after it. It's an altogether beautiful setting, and we thought it would be a perfect, relaxed brunch on the day if our 45th wedding anniversary. It wasn't. The food was plentiful and ok with the exception of the carving table, offering prime rib and pork roast. Both were simply tough.

I really wanted our experience at 1931 to be wonderful. We were celebrating our anniversary w 3 other couples. The restaurant and bar area are stunning…something I’m so happy is here in Cincinnati but the overall experience was just okay. The bar area is still top notch and the live music was just right. I wish I was able to give better feedback re the restaurant.

The brunch buffet is not what it used to be. The selections are nothing out of the ordinary. I was also overcharged for the $42 pp by more than double, which I am still trying to straighten out. There are more interesting restaurants in Cinti and Covington with more interesting menus, vibes and energy. This is definitely not the special occasion spot that Orchids at Palm Court was...

Incompetent service. Stapled pages for a wine list. My pasta was cold and lukewarm in parts at best. Some man from the kitchen was serving the food, and I wasn't sure if he was supposed to be the "chef" or the dishwasher or likely both. Get your act together!

The food was wonderful but the service was lousy. We waited several minutes for a hostess to appear so we could be seated. Our server was extremely inexperienced. She brought a basket of bread, but provided no plates to eat it on. She dropped off our unopened bottle of wine at the table and walked away. No one cleared our used dishes as we finished our salad course and then entree. So, we had to stack our dishes so the server could find a place to put down our desserts. With so many wonderful restaurants in town, we will probably not be back. So disappointed!

The food was tasty but we missed the 5 star upscale dishes from the days when this was Orchids restaurant. The stunning art deco surroundings deserves dishes and formality of this beautiful historic space. Very disappointed they had run out of goetta sliders starter so early in the evening (6:00). Service was attentive and quick but failed to remove empty cocktail glasses and menus after ordering. Cluttered the small table. Noise level was nonexistent! Loved the live piano music playing from the bar. Will return but not with the excited anticipation as in the past.
