169 is a licensed venue open weekends only for coffee and all day breakfast and lunch.
Our iconic location on the corner of William St and Darlinghurst Rd has a rich history. We sit proudly on the border between Kings Cross and Darlinghurst and have some of the best people watching in town.
Our dog friendly terrace is the perfect outdoor area and along with our bar and dining room, stylishly designed and filled with large scale artworks by George Raftopoulos, you can find an area that suits any needs.
We hope to see you at 169 Darlinghurst soon.

We eat at 169 quite regularly and it's consistently good. The menu is varied and fresh - lots of lovely healthy options, as well as a delicious brunch menu and excellent Bloody Marys. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and the food is reasonably priced.

Our waitress made the experience for us. She was attentive and friendly throughout. The food was yummy and the drinks free flowing. We sat outside and it was lovely!

Overall the food was on. Nothing special but an ok brunch. The experience was very bad. Very slow service. When we asked the waitress after 15 mins of waiting for one extra coffee, her response was ‘today’s key word is patience’. When I’m paying 25 dollars for eggs, this is unacceptable (in general, unacceptable service even if I was paying 5$)

Its my fave brunch spot in Sydney! If you want a great arvo with the girls, definitely go here! The food is delicious, bottomless mimosas done correctly, service immaculate! See you again in 4wks! LOL

I’m one word - OUTSTANDING! This venue enjoys a loyal following of locals and savy travellers. The cuisine is fresh, full of flavour and never disappoints. The real standout is the amazing staff. Kind, considerate, proactive professionals. This isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience!

Went for the bottomless brunch and had a wonderful time, Steph was the most amazing host, she was so friendly and went above and beyond to make our experience fantastic. All the other staff were really lovely too. Come for the truly welcoming atmosphere, tasty and beautiful food, delicious drinks, and great value for money!

Not welcoming - we made a reservation although were accused of not having one. Showed our confirmation and the man admitted it was there, he hadn’t downloaded it - no apology. We were seated at the end where seats needed to be found. We asked not to be outside in the sun, although this table was in the sun. A mistake perhaps, but own it and apologise - we can all make mistakes.

We booked for the bottomless brunch. I think possibly the nicest food I’ve had for a bottomless! Pastries to begin with were a really nice touch and plenty to go around. Drinks came around at nice pace ;) would recommend. Thanks to the staff.

I spent such a nice time with my friends at one of the outside tables on Sat. We loved the food and wine which were delicious with good selection. We'll definitely go back there for not only special catch up but also for relaxing branch. Thanks Cafe 169 team!!

Good vibe, view was 10/10 overlooking the Coca Cola sign in kings cross. Service was awesome, never ran out of drinks the waiter just kept topping it up 😂

We made a booking for the $79 brunch package on short notice and were so glad we were able to get a table at 169 Darlinghurst. The staff were amazing, attentive and fast. The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks from the selections we had, especially the espresso martini’s, were incredible. Insane value for money. Would absolutely recommend coming here!

My friends and I had a lovely time once again. We always try to venture out to other places but we found that 169 Darlinghurst offers a great range of cocktails for their bottomless brunches which is also value for money so we always end up here. We absolutely love coming here for the bottomless cocktails. They make an amazing Espresso Martini and delicious Bloody Mary. The staff are always so attentive particularly with regards to offering more drinks. They are always so friendly and welcoming. Food is always good and rather filling.
