First time at 156 Cumberland. The food was as advertised, very nuanced, well seasoned and delicious. The server we had (didn’t get his name) was a gem, very helpful and patient with our ordering and looking after our needs. The main criticism of this restaurant was the sound level. Yes it was energetic but it was very challenging to hear my companion sitting across from me. For the life of me, I’ve no idea why successful restaurants refuse to put up acoustic treatment to make holding a conversation easier. This isn’t a bar, it’s a restaurant… I expect better acoustics so I can enjoy the conversation as well as the food. Yes I’ll go back, but I’ll try to sit outside.

The food was lovely but we were disappointed in the very limited choices in beverages. Almost no authentic Korean drinks, and very few (and not particularly food friendly) wines by the glass. Service outstanding; table in a poor location.

i ordered sujebi, bone in ribs, and beef tartare. personally, i would suggest you to order their sujebi❤️❤️ it was perfectly cooked.

It was my first time trying the restaurant and had heard great things. The food was good but we asked for no nuts because the person I was with had an allergy. They served us a nut dish and we had an allergic reaction. Thankfully it wasn't life threatening. They din't offer a discount or any way to try and make up for the issue. I won't be back.
