We had a reservation for 10:15 and were only seated after asking three different times even though the restaurant was empty. After that we didn’t have a server come out for another 15 minutes. The food was cold and the steak was the worst I’ve ever had. The bread pudding was the only half decent thing on the menu. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

Loved this place, the service was great from the start, with the host been friendly(even though we arrived late). Our server Rigo was great, he had good recommendations. Loved how brunch was still available past 3:00pm on Saturday. They had a live DJ who was playing good music. He had us dancing in our seats. Loved the interior design. The food was so good and hit the spot for all of us. We parked in the back parking structure and walked around to go to the main entrance. The 1st 90 minutes is free. Will be coming back to enjoy the happy hour and more food.

I recently had a terrible experience at 1212 Santa Monica. When my date and I walked up to the door, we were met with horrible looks from the bouncer. We handed over our IDs to the bouncer, even though we were there to eat, not drink. After we were seated, our server, who was actually very nice, began taking care of us. However, out of nowhere, the manager approached our table and asked to see our IDs again. We complied, and the manager, while polite, explained that the bouncer had reported an issue (despite the fact that he had let us in). The manager said we could stay and eat, but by then, we felt so uncomfortable that we decided to leave. As we were walking out, the bouncer made several rude comments about my date, further ruining what was supposed to be a pleasant evening. The entire experience was incredibly disappointing, and I will not be returning to 1212 Santa Monica.

Our security team noticed that you and your date were under 21 upon your arrival but chose not to address it initially, understanding that you were here for dining purposes. You were promptly seated and welcomed by our server. When you requested to move to the bar area, our manager approached your table to explain that it's reserved for guests aged 21 and over, as per our policy. Despite this, we hoped you'd still enjoy your meal with us. We strive to create a welcoming environment for all our guests, and we regret that you felt uncomfortable and chose to leave. We went to 1212 for a reunion dinner and while the food was great and our server was amazing, it felt like trying to eat dinner at a club (not in a good way). We're all in our late 20s/early 30s and had to shout across the table at each other and couldn't hear each other at all and there were only 8 of us at the table. It was also only like 7pm. We asked twice to have the music turned down and the manager said she'd try but that the band wasn't mic'd but that didn't solve the problem. They did give us a discount on the bill which was really nice and the food was great, but I wouldn't go back or recommend to anyone, just based on the inability to hear the people I was dining with. It really ruined the experience.

The appetizers were horrible. We ordered five of the Crostinis. Some of them were not edible i.e. the sausage and the tuna. The honey truffle was really the only one that was somewhat good. Seafood spaghetti pasta was highly oversalted. The gnocchi was fair, but lacked depth of flavor. Band played extremely loud and too noisy to actually enjoy any conversation in the restaurant.

Loved our waiter. But otherwise forgettable. Food wasn’t great. Long time to wait for food. And we had to approach the hostess to get a waiter in the first place.

Food was good, service was ok, but volume was too loud that make the whole experience bad. I could not have a conversation at dinner. Would not come back.

The food, ambience, and service were all very good. However, the back ground music was too loud throughout. Overall, we enjoyed the dining there.
