101 Patio Bar and Grill features all-day dining in a design-forward indoor restaurant and bar, and in the warmer months, a beautiful open-air patio space equipped with two fireplaces, lush greenery and breathtaking landscaping. The kitchen, led by Executive Chef Khellil Abderezak from Deerpath Inn and Ritz Carlton, offers visitors a culinary tour of the Mediterranean, where Chef himself was raised and first learned to hone his culinary prowess. With a menu ranging from shareable small plates to soups, salads, hearth-baked flatbreads, handhelds and seafood-centric entrees, the 101 Patio Bar and Grill blends Mediterranean-style techniques, ingredients and cuisines to offer an ever-refreshing, whimsical experience each and every visit. A warm and inviting bar team serves up inspiring craft cocktails, world-class spirits, international wines and local brews.

Discounted guest parking ($13 for up to 3 hours) is available at nearby 50 E Ohio self-park garage. Please inquire with the host.

This place apparently just opened and we loved it! The patio was so nice but also kind of secluded so you didn’t get a lot of street noise. Our food and drinks were delicious and the service was great as well. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful new restaurant! The food was outstanding, with a very American-Mediterranean menu. The music, however, was way too loud, even on the gorgeous patio. Sirens in the neighborhood are expected. Music necessitating shouting to one's dining partners is regrettable. A nice addition may be lighter (smaller) menu offerings. We live in a retirement community of three hundred people, three blocks away, who would value smaller portions (much like a "kids" menu). Price wouldn't be the issue if prices were close to those for larger portions -- and the profit margins might be bigger as a result. We definitely have already recommended this to several community neighbors. It's a great addition to the neighborhood.

We went on opening day and again the next day. The food was that good! Returning again a week later they are playing with their menu. The perfectly delicious Swordfish Kabobs and the Shwarma Chicken pita were gone. A chicken sandwich was added but the baguette was so large that it didn't fit in the mouth. The lamb hummus is still there and served on warm hummus. That little something that is a big plus. The French fries are sprinkled with Z'atar so expect them to tingle your tongue. The food that they are trying out has been delicious so whatever their menu, this is a welcome addition to River North/Magnificent Mile area. It's only one block off Michigan Ave at Rush and Erie St. which makes their quiet outdoor patio a respite from the busy area.
