Quiessence is a fine dining, true farm to table restaurant located at The Farm at South Mountain, a 10 acre oasis by South Mountain. We have a 2 acre organic garden onsite that we utilize as much as possible for our dishes. Our menu changes regularly based on local and seasonal availability. We offer tasting menus with the option of doing 3, 4 or 5 courses. The restaurant itself is housed in the original farmhouse of the property giving the restaurant plenty of rustic charm. Patio dining is also highly sought after when the weather is nice.

We just keep coming back! The food is as delicious as it is beautiful. I'm always hesitant posting reviews when a place is this good because the selfish goblin in me wants it to remain a quiet oasis, but how could I keep such divinity away from others? They also led us on a small, private tour of the kitchen which was IMMACULATE. Like the level of clean was something most kitchens wish they were. Watching the chefs create was watching art in action. Got to meet the head chef/owner who was wonderful and kind. Truly made the occasion extra special.

The food and service were outstanding. The salmon literally melted in my mouth, and the glacier lettuce was an unexpected treat. Another favorite of mine was the Parmesan taco with steak tartar. It was a pleasure to get to tour the spotless kitchen and meet the staff. My only regrets are (1) that the restaurant was out of several items, which with a limited menu seems odd, and (2) that many items had alcohol in them. The kitchen adjusted as best it could, for which I was grateful. Some people might find the portion sizes small, but for us they were perfect given that we had the four-course dinner plus dessert. We left feeling full but not uncomfortably so. This is a special occasion restaurant (at least for us), and the excellent food and service made our evening very special.

This was one of our best experiences at this restaurant. The server in the chef were by far the most professional and engaging as I’ve ever had the kitchen tour meal prep talk about what they were serving. You was just out of this world. They were fantastic and so knowledgeable About what they were serving for us tonight offered so many great suggestions as well. This is once in a lifetime experience people are missing out if they don’t take up this opportunity to eat it at the farm.

I went there with my mom and a friend and other than me forgetting to book a table outside it was perfect. But with being inside there was only one other table with a couple so it was very private and relaxing.

It was absolutely fabulous. The service all the workers the kitchen. The chef had created a wonderful place. They made me a vegan 5 course dinner that I loved every bite of. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for farm to table. Not only is it fresher than majority of restaurants they put love in every meal. You can absolutely tell they care what they are doing! Should be a Michelin star restaurant. Look forward to coming back for lunch the property is wonderful! I highly recommend to everyone to experience this place.
