Le Prospect est un restaurant plutôt décontracté de la même équipe qui est derrière l'acclamé Boulevard à San Francisco. Les partenaires d'affaires, Nancy Oakes (James Beard chef renommé/propriétaire du Boulevard), Pam Mazzola et Kathy King, ont créé un lieu convivial qui rend hommage à la cuisine américaine contemporaine. Que ce soit pour un cocktail et une bouchée au bar, pour un repas décontracté à la table commune, pour un dîner relaxant ou un souper dans la salle à manger principale, vous pourrez profiter du menu complet et d'un service exceptionnel. Could not get a last minute reservation at Boulevard so I tried Prospect for the first time. Very impressed with the food quality and variety of dishes. My date and I tried the halibut and scallops. Both were perfectly prepared. Our server Anna was outstanding.

Prospect is one of the few fine dining restaurants left in San Francisco. I’ve had better meals here. my dining partners fared better. I still recommend dining at Prospect and will return again in the future.

Disappointed. Second disappointing review in SF in the SAME DAY! Ugh. I hate giving bad reviews but our Waiter, gentleman that started with a W had no interest in working much less being there and helping us. Again, like lunch, brining guests from out of town to a known nice establishment with bad rushed service. The Sommelier was AMAZING. SO SO kind and helpful. I even told him in a world of dying service, he is a breath of fresh air. We had someone who may have been a manager reaching in front of our guests speaking to remove empty wine glasses in an effort to usher us along after we dropped $800 there. The waiter who could not be bothered much to help, passed our table at least 10 times to check on the check and credit card placement for him to take. Food was meh. Very very small portions for a heavy price. I have no issues paying higher price points but when the portion is called an Entree, when it is not, is misleading.

We came to Prospect for restaurant week. The special menu for the week was delicious. I particularly liked the onion pate starter and the generous NY steak entree. And the strawberry mousse dessert melted in the mouth. The waiter was very accommodating to a food allergy for our party as well. An excellent meal all around!

The food is excellent (albeit very decadent). We tried the spicy seabass ceviche, the tortellini, the duck leg cacio e pepe, and for dessert, the bread pudding and affogato. All dishes were very flavorful and well balanced. The pasta dishes were smaller, but appropriately sized given how rich the food was. The wine selection was very good. The restaurant is very well laid out and decorated on the inside. The staff were good, although we did have a few periods of waiting longer than expected for a waited to come by. Overall, a really great restaurant and we’re excited to return and try some other dishes!

The restaurant week menu was wonderful! The amuse was top tier. I’ve never thought of putting caviar on my French onion dip but I am definitely going to start now! The hamachi crudo was delicious and the steak was perfect. My boyfriend loved the steak the most hehe. And the strawberry semifreddo was the perfect ending to the meal. We’ll definitely be back!

Celebrated our anniversary with an intimate dinner at Prospect. GM Eloy, server Ariel, and Somm Will made sure it was a night to remember. The special rigatoni pasta with a pork ragout paired with a lovely Barbera, took us back to Italy for a few brief moments. Our thanks to the Prospect team for making our night out so special!

My husband and I always enjoy going to prospect. The food is delicious and the server we had (Josiah), couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Make sure to try the special Japanese milk bread. It is special. Also the bread pudding dessert was outstanding. Prospect is a little pricey but worth the money. However, I thought the noise level was a little too energetic.

A bit disappointed from my previous visit late last year. Service was slow. The filet mignon was dry despite it being medium rare. It seemed like it was under a heat lamp too long.

Your Sommelier was outstanding !!!!! Knows His wines 😁 The buss boys who brought out the courses were on top of things !! Waiter, WilliamZ, out to lunch. Fine dining restaurant is not a job he should be in. Forgot things, so slow and we never ever received the last sweets on the Valentine's 5 course dinner, Friday 16th. Left a bit disappointed. Had I know ahead of time I would be charged an extra service charge of %20 and a charge for Healthy SF %6 , before the total of the bill, I would never have gone out to eat.

Their prix fixe menu for Valentine's Day was pricy but absolutely divine. Well worth the money. I have never had as delicious oysters, lobster, or scallops as Prospect's. It truly lived up to the hype and the perfect place for a special occasion.

We chose the prix fixe dinner, and we ordered different options so we could try everything. Each bite was so delicious! The service was impeccable. All around a wonderful meal and experience.

Food was delicious and cocktails were very good! A little expensive for the amount of food, but still excellent. I’m gluten free and the menu does not list ingredients out well or say what contains gluten so I had to ask a lot of questions and the server didn’t know what was or wasn’t gluten free so that was a bummer but in the end we enjoyed our experience.

Prospects is one of my favorite SF restaurants. It has create tables and booths so you not on top of each other, the food is fantastic and the wine list and cockltails are top of the line. They have a great bar for drinks and/or nibbles. The food: great ceviche, duck confit, short ribs. We go there often!

Best part of dining was the service — attentive but didn’t hover or rush us. Surprised that the pork chop was so dry but the lobster was beautiful.

The food, for the most part, was excellent once you made it through enough of the menu to figure out what to order. We eat out a lot. We have eaten at fine restaurants world wide. We are used to esoteric menus but this one takes the cake. There were so many unknown ingredients that we finally gave up trying to understand what we were ordering. Is that really necessary?? Or is it just pretentious?

If not for very weak service, my review would have been much stronger. It started off well with a very attentive server. However, midway through the meal, she disappeared. I had finished my meal and saw her talking with other customers across from me while I sat there with dirty plates for at least 19 minutes. Finally, after I got someone’s attention, the maitre d came over and cleared my plates. She told me my server had to leave unexpectedly. She got huffy when I told her I had just seen her a few feet from my table. Despite that, the food was excellent, and the almost-sommelier was great.

We have been their with our family a couple of times and in both cases everyone loved their meal and drinks. I have been fortunate enough to visit Prospect a few other times with the same result......exquisite service and food. With my family it is almost never the case that all six of us likes everything but at Prospect everyone loves everything both times and individually I have always experienced the best service and food. I highly recommend Propsect and is my favorite restaurant in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area.

The waitress did not listen to my order and my boyfriend and I were waiting for 15 minutes for my entree that was never entered into the system. The atmosphere here is really inappropriate. One of the waitresses flirted with my boyfriend when I was away from the table. This is very inappropriate and the staff should be trained to serve food and that’s it!!!

Wonderful dinner to celebrate a birthday at Prospect. The wine and cocktail selections are on point and a great way to start off the meal. Starters and mains have lots to choose from and are all satisfying, thoughtful and delicious. Great experience all around!
