    The filet wasn’t as good as other fine restaurants but the Seafood Trio was fantastic!

    We celebrated our 18yr old daughters High School graduation and my Mothers 87th birthday with my wife and I. We had a wonderful seat at a window with a great view. The place was busy. The food was mostly lousy - people are here to impress clients; but if you are a foodie, its not the place to come given the great options in Portland. Expensive. Mom and daughter had crab cakes that they said they couldn't taste any crab. There was something fried under it - but likewise they couldn't recognize what it was. We had a starter of Calimari and Fries - both were soggy and really not any good. I had a chop salad and steak tartare which were both really good! My wife had mussels - which she also said were yummy! Service was very good. We came here for the views & experience (we have been here before for Mother's Day brunches and also my prom in 88). If you really like great food; this isn't the place to go to in Portland. Its just a place to impress people who don't know what else exists in Portland in terms of restaurants. Four people $380 with two glasses of wine and one glass of beer. (20% tip).

    Jen D and Javier were great servers! Jen was very personable and engaging, too. We had a family member visiting who had never been to Portland, and we all enjoyed our evening!

    My guests seemed happy with the food choice, I found it a bit limited (happy hour menu) but ok. Service was excellent, attentive and cooperative. View is great (my guests were out of country visitors). A good place to go for happy hour!

    Marco was an excellent server! We generally take family, friends, and clients visiting in the area to Portland City Grill, and frankly you’re paying for the amazing view. Don’t get me wrong, the food is okay, but every time we go to PCG I wonder where the flavor is. Everything is underseasoned. Also what the heck happened to the calamari? That used to be the best item on the menu and now it’s just little sad fried rings and random veggies on one of those weird styrofoam beds. $460 for 4 people to not be over the moon about the food quality isn’t great, but the impressive view is always what people remember. Marco: 12/10 Food: 2/10 Will still come back again, but I’m gonna be mad about it the whole time lol.

    Always an excellent experience. I live in Minnesota and Portland City Grill is a must do for every visit with my son. Thank you for the consistently good service and fine food.

    Great views. Way too many tables. Extremely poor food. Bland, overcooked steak. Somehow sweet shrimp? Unseasoned scallops. There must be some scam with the reviews, because this place deserves barely one star. Servers did what they could, but this place is a joke. The chef needs to quit. Please, go eat at any other restaurant, this place is guaranteed to disappoint.

    I’ve been here many time for many occasions and normally the service is great, but the service this time was terrible. The waiter, Jeff, was very condescending and rude throughout the night. I understand that the night was busy, but the way we were treated was not nice at all. At least the food was good.

    Service was insanely slow for Mother’s Day dinner. Our reservation was for 5:15 and we didn’t get our food till after 7:00. First drinks took over 45 minutes. And the main dining area was so so crowded. Really took away from the specialness of the occasion. Felt like we were dining in a cattle car. They should scale back the number of diners and really focus on service.

    Wanted to love it, can’t by a long shot. Food was a big disappointment… salads wilted/room temp, short rib/mashed potatoes also room temp (yuck), asparagus waaaaay overcooked (double yuck). Thank goodness the bread was fresh from the oven. Aside from the views, this place has nothing going for it. Won’t return.
