    Great views, great food and amazing service. The calamari appetizer was quite large and delicious. I had a filet and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the bouillabause and it was delicious (I had to sneak a bite or 2).

    In years past, this was our favorite place to have date night. Sadly, this was officially our last visit. The noise level was too much- overstimulating. The food wasn’t worth $290, for 3 apps, 2 drinks and 2 entrées. There are plenty of other less expensive restaurants with higher quality food and ambience. Unfortunate. Because this was a favorite for many years.

    Slow and inattentive service: Very slow at initial greeting by the waiter to take drink orders, we sat 10+ minutes without water even being poured. And then we sat and waited another long stretch of time between the our soup/salad course, all of our glasses were out of water, no offer to replenish the bread. We were told that the waiter would be back re: whether or not the kitchen was out of sea bass, the waiter never returned to let us know, the waiter placed an order for a pre-selected alternative. The chopped salad was mainly iceberg lettuce with a couple of tomatoes, no cauliflower, or other veggies, or the garbanzo beans that were listed on the menu. We were never asked about how are food was by our waiter or the maître de (who we saw ask several other tables). We were a table of 6, we all ordered different main dishes and they were all just okay. We had 3 desserts that were all good. When the waiter brought the check, he said he'd validate our parking slips, "just put them in the pocket with the payment." We trusted he'd do what he said. When he brought back the check after running our credit card, we took the parking slips out and left, went down the elevator to the garage, put the slips in the machine in the garage and no validation for either slip! Very aggravating... $16.00 that we shouldn't have to pay. But it sort of fit with our overall experience of the City Grill. Inattentive service that does not match the high end pricing, and just so, so food.

    Food, service and ambience are great. The restaurant prepared a small surprise for our wedding anniversary celebration! It was so thoughtful and nice of them!

    We realized we were not guaranteed a window table but were still a bit disappointed that we didn't get one. However, the location of our table did provide views and we were free to go to the windows for a better view of Portland from above. The seafood sampler and the mixed green salad were beautifully presented and delicious. The crabcake was full of crabmeat, but the deep-fried soft-shell crab was more breading than seafood. The free red velvet cake offered for our anniversary visit was a case of "you get what you pay for". Overall we had a very enjoyable and memorable night out.

    Excellent view and great service. Food was ok, cocktails were average. If I went again I would just have a glass of wine and go somewhere else for dinner.

    Their jambalaya to my surprise was actually incredible so I will definitely be going back there for that

    Sat on a table next to the window and views were amazing! Make sure you ask for a window table. Place is nice and good was good.
