I made a reservation for 4:45 pm to ensure we had a table; however, there were several reservations available before and also several for later in the evening. From the moment we sat down, our waitress was stopping by incessantly trying to get us to place an order for drinks and food. After a few visits, she tells us that she'll have to check with the manager because they had planned for us to be done by 6:15 pm for another reservation. She came back later to tell us that we had more time. Then, around 7 pm, the manager stops by. With a pleasant voice he says that he was kind enough to let us stay longer, but we need to vacate this table in 5 mins. During the entire time that we were at the restaurant, there were open tables, including unused outdoor seating on a beautiful evening. As we left, I saw open seating at the bar as well, which we would have been happy to sit at. I even checked Open Table again when we left and there were several reservation times still available. Surprisingly, there were no people waiting for a table when we left. My friend and I stood outside talking for 5 minutes and didn't see anyone arriving either. I have been to many, many different restaurants and have never been chased out of a restaurant - even restaurants with long lines of waiting people. While the food was very good, the wine prices are over-inflated (even for restaurants) and the customer service here is the worst I have ever experienced. I've been to this restaurant a number of times before and had a good experience. However, I am now very hesitant to ever come back.

Porterhouse Steak is a fine restaurant. But it has become so expensive, I really cannot afford to go there. I wish I could rave about the experience. I very much enjoyed my meal. And service was on the edge of excellent! But it is growing ever more difficult to continue paying these prices. I do not think it entirely fair to blame the restaurant for the inflation that influences the dynamic. They are also feeling the impacts of the current economy. And this showed in the number of seatings that we available during our dinner last night.

Absolutely wonderful meal once again from Porterhouse!! The manager always stops by to check on our experience. Clearly his leadership is creating the culture there as we feel special and well cared for every single time we go! We love you Porterhouse!!

Took my daughter and her friend for dinner and they were way impressed!! We started with Ahi Tuna and crab cake appetizers, which were both amazing. He had the Black and Blue ribeye, she had the petite filet and my wife and I had the walleye blackened - I recommend any one of these entrees as they were all cooked to perfection. I also recommend the French onion soup- it’s delicious!!

Our Dinner at Porterhouse was wonderful! We were celebrating two events, and the Porterhouse helped make it special. Our server Bonnie was amazing, the food was exquisite and the ambience was wonderful!

Excellent food! Try the steak tips appetizer with the bearnaise sauce, my husband and I shared the Walleye dinner - it is delicious and definitely enough to share - two filets. Great service!

Always the best steaks, done exactly to perfection. Our server was the best! The only thing that was not top drawer was the noise level. It was noisier than usual, too noisy for the non-bar side of a fine restaurant - most of it attributed to two groups of men near our table.

The service was very good and most of the dinner was delicious. The scallops for one person in our party could have been cooked longer and there was a big lump of hard potatoes in the center of the mashed potatoes.

We love this place. We come here for every special occasion and have for more than 15 years. We just celebrated my husband’s 70th birthday this weekend and they made it very special. I ordered the Alaskan Halibut with Shrimp and it was one of the best pieces of fish I’ve ever had!! It was so good that we went back the next day and I ordered it again!! Outstanding! My husband is a big meat and potato fan and always gets the Porterhouse. Never been disappointed! You should go here. The Service is the best ever! Ryan was perfect as usual-love you guy!

We came to celebrate our 40th anniversary and wanted to do it in a special place. The whole evening was great. Lindsey was a fabulous server for us as well as other staff who helped as well. Meal was prepared as we asked amd tasted great.

We had a great time at Porterhouse. We were celebrating a friend’s 40th birthday. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful! She discussed the menu options with us, had a great personality, helped us choose beverages and desserts, The food was delicious!!! Everyone left feeling full and satisfied. I asked for a quaint place when I booked my reservation over a week prior to arriving and was sat at a table in front of all booths with others right next to us. It was my birthday and we wanted something more quiet.

Good place. Steak was a tiny bit undercooked but overall very good. Steak had great flavor. They gave us a free dessert since it was our 20th anniversary, too! Very nice of them to do that. Service was superb.

Dinner was fantastic. We always split the NY strip and it was done to perfection. Cheesy bacon mashed potatoes are always a hit as well. Love going to dinner at Porterhouse because you are always guaranteed a great meal at a reasonable price.

Immediately seated, server (Tracy) introduced herself, ordered hors d'oeuvres & drinks, quickly served, ordered meal going with suggestion from Tracy, had a chance to enjoy sipping drinks and trying hors d'oeuvres, then food arrived. Wife had salmon, her favorite. I tried large prawns - for the first time - they were great! Tracy kept track of us and was always there for questions and suggestions. All in all, it was (as usual) a great evening at Porterhouse. Make sure you keep Tracy on the payroll, she's a keeper!

We had a very nice meal. Service was excellent - both at the bar and also at our table. We actually ate in a booth in the bar and loved that atmosphere. More quieter and cozy. We will come again!

Our service was good, however the quality of the food was poor. When we received our meals the entrees and the sides luke warm at best. The scallops were tasteless at best.

It was a little dark, kind of hard to see the menu. The service was good. The food was great. Maybe a little pricey. We bring our family there for Christmas. They really like it there too!

Porterhouse has the best steaks in the southern suburbs. The prices are much less than downtown Minneapolis and the steaks are just as good.
