Amazing food and service!! We were able to split a bunch of pastas and appetizers family style in a more relaxed environment

Can’t go wrong with the branzino - yum!!! Started off with the prosciutto and melon - perfect appetizer. The patio is lively, so if you want a more quiet experience, ask for an inside table. This is my go-to place when I visit Chicago and never disappoints.

I love the this restaurant, especially the patio in the summer! Great for a date or a night out with girlfriends!

We experienced poor service and our food was taken away when they offered to box it but we never received a box. Asked for bread and drink refills and never received more bread.

Service was slow and inconsistent. First, at the bar, I asked for a scotch neat. Wrong glass for a Scotch. it was in a stemless wine glass, not good. The straight sides and not narrowed top of a rocks glass is not expensive and lends itself to better enjoyment of the scotch without having the inability to inhale a confined draw that overpowers the senses.... not to mention the pour was WAAAY overpoured. it was well over a triple, almost 1/3 of the stemless wine glass was filled. Kudos to a place that makes me feel wasteful and frustrated when asking for a different glass. The bartenders were attentive to the regulars, but the guy ordering multiple drinks not behaving as the nuveau-riche can expect this (second time here- second time this has happened) In ordering multiple apps, beware the plates may not fit on your table. Management should possibly make a smaller plate, recommend they come out one at a time, something for such an easy fix to an embarrassing problem. Also, why do I spend hundreds of dollars to be seated on outdoor patio furniture in the dining room? Cheap and flimsy, the heel cap on my chair was off and rocked my way to seasickness.. but the food. None of the apps were explained in either size or context when ordering multiple to a small table. I digress, the seating along the wall was not cramped, it was sardine like. I saw the people to either side of us look concerned as we squeezed ourselves into the seats, both I and my companion are smaller thin people (larger persons would have not physically been able to sit there). It was good sport to the gents across from us discussing how tight the seating was.. for us. After the apps were bagged for us to go and unceremoniously dropped in a bag on the floor next to our table, the Main plates came. My companion had a delightful squid ink pasta and seafood that was well executed. i received the short rib that was well trimmed and portioned. The short rib was unseasoned sauce-lumpy polenta

The food was amazing. Me and my boyfriend went around 6:30 for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. By that time the restaurant was pretty empty. Our sever greeted us and we put in our appetizer and entrees all at once. We waited for our appetizer over 30 minutes. A 4 too had sat next to us about 15 minutes after we got sat. They got their appetizer right away. We had to wait another 30-40 minutes for our entree, we work in the food industry and we would understand if the kitchen was backed up. The thing is that tables around us were getting their courses back to back despite arriving at a later time than we did. The fact that no one cared to give us an update on our courses, or check up on us.
