A Sicilian by way of Chicago, from a family of Sicilian chefs and restaurateurs. He made a name for himself, serving Orange County for 30 years. Piccolino serves some of the best Italian inspirations in Orange County. Piccolino retains its Sicilian philosophy and passion for food by combining traditional old-world flavors and contemporary infusions. When Salvatore Faso opened Piccolino Ristorante in 2007, his goal was simple: to combine his lifelong experiences in the finest Italian restaurants with the finest ingredients, authenticity, preparation, and his passion for the Canyon and its surrounding communities. Piccolino Ristorante serves regional Italian cuisine, including artisan-made pasta, fresh wild-caught fish, and the finest meats and poultry on the market daily. We always have a wonderful experience at Piccolino. Considering it was Mother's Day, thought it might be a bit crazy there but the service was exceptional!!! Katerina was on top of everything and always a joy to be around. We love her!!

Went for mothers Day brunch, and they sat us by the kitchen I could literally see inside the kitchen. The food was burnt, and salmon was undercooked, and it took forever to get our food. My personal experience bad, tried it because it had good reviews, but that was not the case for us. won't go back.

This place seems to be a "secret" rather than very well known. We have seen the signs driving by but never thought much about trying it until last night. We were amazed at the great taste of our food and excellent service. The couple we brought with us are from San Clemente. They will definitely be back as well as we will, also.

Piccolino is my over-the-top favorite restaurant in Orange County. The food is just fantastic and the service impeccable. The entire restaurant is like one big happy family and I’m thrilled to be a part of the Piccolino family!

We had a great experience. We went early enough where it was pretty empty. We were greeted and seated by Aiden who is such a great representative for the restaurant. He really makes everybody feel special. Shelby, was our server and she did everything right. She was prompt, checked in without being overbearing and very personable. The food was delicious. The only reason I did not give five stars is the music was horrible. It was loud and the choice of music did not fit the ambience at the restaurant. We asked (not sure who it was) but nothing. But overall, we’d come back.

We discovered this little neighborhood gem for the first time last night. I was very impressed w the food, service and overall experience . We had beef carpaccio and burrata for apps, I had a perfectly prepared halibut for my entree and tiramisu for dessert. It was all Outstanding!

What a wonderful evening at Piccolino. We were greeted by Aiden and McKenna and taken to a wonderful booth. Shelby was our amazing server. We also chatted with Sal, Jeff, and Devore. All wonderful people. We started with Patron Silver with three limes muddled and mint mixed with Pelligrino and the eggplant souffle. The drinks and appetizer were fantastic. We also had the bruscheta, which was quite tasty. Shelby stopped back by, and we ordered the main entrees. My wife ordered the Dover sole special, and I had the pasta wrapped lobster and crab. Juan Carlos delivered our entrees and de-boned the Dover sole tableside. The entrees were prepared and presented exquisitely and tasted amazing. We finished the evening with coffee and spumoni. Jeff stopped back by, and we had a wonderful conversation and appreciated his hospitality and kindness. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend this fine establishment.

BTW garlic bread is $8.00. We went there once but there will not be a second time

My only criticism is that an Italian restaurant should always serve Hot fresh bread - thick artesian bread sets the stage for excellence. otherwise, it was great

Ordered the halibut and my wife wanted it well and I wanted it medium rare. Of course it came at well for both of us. Not good for the price paid. Waiter also described the sauce on it incorrectly and my wife asked for no sauce but got it. The eggplant was mushy and who wants a lot of squash as the accompaniment to your main dish. Something needs to change here for me to visit this restaurant that used to be one of my favorites.

It is a nice restaurant. It was hot and stuffy in the restaurant. Water refills were few and far between. $40 for pasta with a little bit of seafood is pricey. Paper birthday hat from Dollar Tree was tacky. Overall OK, but not amazing. Probably wouldn’t return.

Being Italian, I am very picky about Italian food. Piccolino is absolutely the best I have ever tried. Everything is a 5 star, from the food to the excellent service. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. Enjoy!!

Entrance a little confusing and odd. Host was on the phone, reservation system was not working, and we had to wait in a crowded, busy area too long to be seated. Server and his assistants were fairly attentive. Food was hot and delicious. Booth was nice. Clothed table was high-class. Owner, Sal, stopped by. The bread and cucumber dip was the best part. The coffee and tiramisu were very good. My wife enjoyed the wine, but would have liked to have been asked again about the second glass, as opposed to just serving it. We will go back to try other entrees. Perhaps, not on a Saturday night.

I think most restaurants after Covid became extremely loud, food quality declining and service at a low. It’s hard to out these days without the feeling of paying too much for food and service quality. Unfortunately, I do not want to cook every night! We haven’t found a place yet that has both quality food and service. Pretty sad

A neighborhood gem for 17 years, Piccolino Ristorante is a nice Italian restaurant with an extensive menu, great wine list, and cocktail bar. On a Thursday night we were promptly seated amidst an energetic local crowd that frequently made it hard to hear your seatmate. The Caprese appetizer was fresh and well presented, but the tomatoes were not quite ripe. Vicki's entree, linguini with clams, was terrific. My entree, fresh halibut with sauteed veggies, was good, but the veggies actually outshone the fish, which was nicely roasted but lacked flavor. A little table salt helped a bit. All that, with two cocktails and two glasses of wine, the bill was just over $200 with a 20% tip. A fine neighborhood choice, but not the place for an intimate conversation.

This was my first time going to the restaurant and what a wonderful place with knowledgeable staff, great food, good value, and a place that you can hear everyone at the table speak. Although the restaurant was full, the noise level was low. I will be coming back again.

A nice hidden gem! The food selections and plates are outstanding, and the tastes are great! This place was very active when we went for Valentine's dinner and a special birthday.
