Le Paragary's est un bistro animé avec une touche californienne situé au cœur de Midtown, à Sacramento. Le menu et les boissons du bar sont influencés par les classiques français, tout en privilégiant les produits de saison de la région. Initialement créé en 1983, le restaurant a été rénové en 2015 : il allie des éléments à la fois modernes et traditionnels créant ainsi un environnement détendu et intemporel mettant en valeur la cuisine et les boissons. L'intérieur clair et spacieux s'ouvre sur le patio de renom doté de cascades, d'oliviers âgés de 60 ans et d'une grande cheminée.

There happened to be room on the patio for our party of two! We were so excited. No bread and butter with black sea salt. Very disappointing. My drink order took quite a while and ended up being wrong. By the time I got my drink, it was pretty watery. The meatball and polenta were delicious. We had two caesar salads with chicken. Delicious! Pizza was delicious! Affogato for dessert. The experience was great aside from the bread/butter with salt and cocktail issue.

I’m a pasta-lover and their pappardelle with rosemary was possibly the best I’ve tasted in the world!! Definitely recommend coming here if you’re in Sac.

Very disappointed that they have changed things. They had THE best bread that they would give to the tables after being sat and they took that way. Now you have to pay for focaccia which is not the same. It was my husbands birthday and they charged us for a dessert. Just a few things that were staples and just was bummed about it. Seems portions are less than they used to be as well.

The food at this restaurant is always above standard. Because it was Mother’s Day the menu was pre fixe but there were numerous choices. Unfortunately, my husband ordered the steak and they had run out (a little odd we thought since it was only 7 pm) but he substituted the pork chop which was absolutely perfect. My sole was also wonderful. My only complaint is we had reserved a table for 6:30 but weren’t seated until after 7 and the food was longer than usual in arriving at the table. The upside was we were seated in the lovely outdoor patio and it was quiet out there as inside was quite noisy.

Reservation started at 530 got seated immediately. Food overall was amazing. We didn’t get our first course until 1hr 15minutes into service. Service was a different story. The waiter was not attentive and hardy checked in on us to see how we were doing or to give us an up date on our meal. Lastly, when receiving our bill he said he deducted the reservation fee when it clearly was not and blamed it on the register. I don’t usually write about my experience at establishments, because of the poor service that we received during Mother’s Day it was an overall bad experience

Visited for Mother’s Day. For a limited menu, service was extremely slow. The lag between courses was excessive, over 45 minutes to get our first course and took 30+ minutes between clearing the main and dessert. Main entree was cold, but hardly saw the server to be able to mention it. The whole experience took nearly 3 hours unnecessarily. All of the tables around us looked to be having the same experience. Rarely get a night out for dinner away from the kids and felt like a complete waste, especially considering the price. Won’t be returning.

Okay, it was Mother's Day. We had a reservation, arrived on time. We were finally seated 35 minutes after our reservation. When we asked about the status of our reservation while waiting, the hostess never acknowledged that the restaurant was running behind, would not provide any information about our seating, did not apologize - the only response was, "we can't control how long people are staying at their tables." Once seated, it was clear that the issue was not due to diners staying too long; it was absolutely expedition and service mismanagement. After being seated, we waited more than 10 minutes before a server came to our table. We had to ask for drink refills and got our first plate of food 30 minutes after being seated. Note - the brunch was a set menu so the first plate didn't have to be prepared as table-specific. Why didn't the server just bring it to the table when he greeted us? The remaining courses took even longer. 3 hours after our original reservation time, we finished our meal and left.

I rarely leave reviews, but the experience I had at this establishment on Mother's Day was so profoundly disappointing that I felt compelled to share. I had made a reservation nearly three weeks in advance for a special Mother's Day brunch with my parents in Sacramento. However, upon arrival, we were blindsided by a lackluster Mother's Day menu that was never communicated to us beforehand. This oversight set the tone though. Despite arriving 15 minutes early for our 11:30 am reservation, we were inexplicably made to wait an additional 20 minutes to be seated. Strike one. Our waiter, who was hard of hearing, struggled to communicate effectively, further complicating our experience. It took an excruciatingly long time for him to even bring us water, let alone take our orders. The ordeal continued as we discovered that our waiter seemed unfamiliar with the menu, erroneously denying the existence of items listed. Eventually, after considerable delay, our drinks arrived, followed by our orders. While I understand the challenges of a busy Mother's Day service, the egregious quality and pricing of the food were unforgivable. For $59 per person for a two-course meal, the offerings were shockingly subpar. My avocado toast resembled something hastily thrown together with store-bought guacamole and cheap bacon bits. The Eggs Benedict, my second course, was a dismal rendition of the dish I've ever encountered. To add insult to injury, my girlfriend's steak, ordered medium rare, arrived well done. The server had the audacity to argue that it was rare, before begrudgingly replacing it with a properly cooked steak—albeit a scant portion. In sum, the food was a profound disappointment, reminiscent of something one might expect from a budget diner chain. The only redeeming quality was the ambiance, but even that couldn't salvage the experience. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this establishment at all costs. I'd sooner dine at Denny's—a sentiment I never thought I'd express.

The Mother's Day brunch menu was excellent! We had 6 of the 8 total offerings, and it would be toilet hard to choose which was best. Our server was excellent, she took great care of us despite how crowded it was. How crowded it was leads to my only minor complaint, we had to wait over 20 minutes past our reservation time to be seated.

Your location is awesome. The menu selection and value is great. I had one concern. We were seated for 2. We were seated at corner bench . The seat along window was comfortable, but the corner seat a long the wall was a half seat. This half seat was not comfortable. I asked the Hostess, and waiter about our situation. Neither employee made effort to accommodate another table.

While I understand that it was Mother's Day, and the restaurant was obviously going to be busy, we arrived well before it was extraordinarily busy. Despite arriving earlier than most, the service was abysmal and not to the Paragary's standard. The food was lackluster and overpriced for the offerings. I would have thought Paragary's would have done better on any day, let alone a special day when many people would be taking their mothers to celebrate the occasion.

Paragary's has a nice relaxed atmosphere, but it is VERY loud. As in the noise carries everywhere. We enjoyed the food. But I definitely had trouble hearing my friends across the small table. It wouldn't deter me from going back because it was otherwise mostly good. Just be prepared to yell your conversation.

They have reservations open for 1:45 but the kitchen closes at 2pm then they sit us down let us order and then told us that they were out of burgers it went to another table so we choose a different lunch menu item and they come back and said they are out of that as well and then mention they are out of all lunch items . Why is that not know ahead of time of being sat down and end up wasting time waiting for food

We’ve eaten here probably several times before and it was as always outstanding. The service was great. We didn’t have to wait at all very long for our service to get there and the food was absolutely fantastic. We actually sat inside which was a real plus because it was really windy outside. my wife, Julie had the lamb pasta, and I had the salmon which was outstanding . we are really looking forward to coming there again because because it is always so spectacular!

The service was fine but the food disappointed. My dining partner had the steak and it was way too salty. I had the clams and spaghetti. It was spicy. I guess I shouldn’t complain as it said Fresno chilis but I thought they were mild. NOT.. the dessert was good.. lol. Good thing because we were still hungry. Lemon tart.

Consistently great food. Everything on the menu is good, and the bar is very good as well. Last night’s service was really disappointing. The restaurant was busy but we had to flag down our server multiple times because we just got tired of waiting. He would just disappear for a long time. It really spoils an otherwise great evening. Improvement is needed.

This was a wonderful dinner. Service was exceptional, all of the staff was friendly. The food was delish! We can't wait to return. Beautiful restaurant, not too fancy, but very immaculate and appeasing.

First time visiting. Lovely patio setting. Andrea our server was very friendly and attentive. Food was tasty. Pizza's had wonderful crust and toppings and were the perfect one person size. Smoked trout for appetizer and chocolate dessert for hubby and blueberry/rhubarb galette for dessert for me. I'm a rhubarb lover and thought the blueberry overshadowed the rhubarb a bit. However it was still a great dessert. Would definitely visit again. It was worth the one hour drive.

This restaurant has been a family favorite for 30 years. Consistently great food and drinks. I had the spaghetti with clams last night, delicious. My usual “go to@ entree is the Hand-cut Rosemary Pappardelli with chicken but I decided to try something different and it was very good. I highly recommend this restaurant. It can be a bit noisy but it’s got a great vibe.

Sitting on the patio is always a treat. The hostess was delightful as was our server. We lingered over our meal, well served but never rushed. As usual we ordered our favorites, chicken and gnocchi and shared a Caesar salad. Paragarys never disappoints.

So disappointed. Randy must be turning over in his grave. We have been loyal Paragary’s customers since it opened. We usually love their pizza. This night, the service was terrible. When the pizza finally came it was overdone and burnt. We ordered sausage pizza, it was so salty we couldn’t eat it. It had no flavor except spicy hot and salty. The Cesar is usually one of the best in town. This time the Romaine was bitter and the salad was tasteless . Very sad.
