It's Paradise Cove. Pricey. Not as "free and open" as it used to be. Expensive parking. Favored by the international crowd. Good and ample good portions. Static menu.

Went for Mother’s Day, have been going for 15 years. I understand that they were very busy. The service was extremely poor today. Apps came out with entrees 30 min after ordering and most food was cold, then had to wait an additional 10 min to get silverware after asking 4 different ppl. No one apologized. The sever was also grumpy. They ended up comping one app but still was a poor experience.

The calamari was salty and we received a lot of crumbs. The cup of clam chowder was also salty and we returned it. Overall the food was alright. We were there on a Saturday and it appeared to be very busy as it was Mother’s Day weekend.

The food was delicious although slightly expensive. I did get a very chewy fatty piece of chicken in my chicken sandwich (which I didn’t like) but the service was impeccable. Otherwise with the location by the beach and the ambience, it’s well worth it.

Fantastic location, ate outside on the beach on the sand. Nice varied menu, with something for everyone. Had the tacos. Three big tacos with choice of protiens and guac, sour cream and pico along with brans and rice. I will definately return.

The food and service was great, but unfortunately I will not be coming back here as they charged a 5% “sustainability” fee and then hit you for $15 when you tried to get out of the (empty) parking lot with your validated ticket. Another example of price gouging

Can't beat sitting on the sand with an amazing view of the water! Prices are very high but worth it for the location. Veggie burger for $30 was delicious but not as big as I thought it would be. Iced tea is $6. Plus they add 5% fee in addition to tax and tip, it was $50 for lunch.

Have been going to this place for years. Went back yesterday. Was surprised how things have changed. The food quality was horrible and prices have gone up. Parking was $65. It’s insane. Will not go back.

We ordered shrimp tacos, Caesar salad with shrimp and the clam chowder. Tacos were meh and the salad as well. Clam chowder was the best out of the three. Make sure you bring your physical ID or they won’t serve you drinks. It’s definitely a tourist trap.

If you haven’t been to Paradise Cove Beach Cafe you must go. It’s one of only a handful of actual beachfront restaurants in SoCal. The food, service and most importantly the relaxing ambiance is a must. FYI, they have a private beach that you can rent sunbeds and cabanas if you want to make a day of it.

I always stop here when I’m in town. Epic views. Iconic beach side restaurant with great food and memorable drinks. Lots of Instagram worthy views. Would absolutely recommend. Make a reservation to sit directly on the sand with the best ocean view.

We go here for the drinks. The service sucks. Never got a fork that we asked for. Our server just disappeared. Ask for a cup of water and got sparkling water. Had to ask 3 other ppl to get a cup of water. They asked us how we like the burger cooked and when they brought it they didn’t know which is which.

Things to know going in: Minimum wage in CA is now $20/hr. Service here is fair. Adjust your tip accordingly There will be a 5% “sustainability fee” added to your bill. For this you get a straw made of macaroni and can feel virtuous that you are saving the planet. Don't include this fee in your tip calculation. There will be a $10-$15 parking fee (weekday vs weekend). The prices are very high and the portions are ridiculously big (their justification for the very high prices) but there is a lot of food waste. Food is very mediocre ( we had the She Crab soup and seafood tacos). But it has a lovely view of the ocean if that is your main objective.

J’adore cet endroit. C’est Vintage. Pas du tout bling-bling. On a les pieds dans le sable. Les plats sont simples mais très très copieux.

I reserved on open table and asked for a window seat. They gave us one 2 rows back and when I asked about it they said I would have to go back to the counter and wait again even though 2 were opening up. After our lunch I asked if they still gave the free chocolate cake for your birthday. The waitress said we had to have two entrées. we spent close to $100 but didn’t buy two entrées so I didn’t get my cake for my birthday. I was totally looking forward to that and that is one of the reasons why we went to eat here. ☹️ I usually enjoy this place but wasn’t happy today

We sat out on the beach with our feet in the sand enjoying margaritas and tacos/fish and chips. Food was good, service was awesome and the view was amazing! Would recommend for sure

Great location amd view. Extremely overpriced but you are paying to be on the beach with the sounds of the ocean so it is worth it. Don’t go if you expect good food only go if you want a good view with ok food.

PCC was great to treat out of town friends to a beautiful view and nice breakfast. Excellent for tourists with money to spend. Service is very good. My only issue is parking fee which is too high. Free Parking for restaurant would make rating higher. I used to go when it was Sand Castle and walk down to beach. I only visit PCC when I want to host a meal for people who visit me from out of the immediate area. My friends were happy with PCC. We had a very nice time. Thanks!!

I chose to make the reservation to go to this place based on the online menu before we travelled to California and because of the location. We took the drive up there and sat in traffic for a long time. We picked out what we were going to eat from their online menu. Including what beer to drink. There were 4 of us. Not one of us had what we were going to order to eat nor the beer we were going to drink. The menu was much less to offer than the online menu. That was very disappointing but we did find other food and beer to have and it was a nice evening.

Was able to be seated right around the time. Server was on the chill side but did make sure we got everything we needed, and I am not asking for more because we are mostly here to enjoy the view. Food portion is gigantic! Hard to imagine a cocktail glass (larger than my head!!) filled with calamari and fries. The fries are extra crispy and yummmmm!!
