Open since 2002 Palmettos on the Bayou is a charming and elegant Acadian style restaurant serving classic Creole dishes highlighting fresh Louisiana ingredients.

Set on the tranquil Bayou Bonfouca near Old Town Slidell, our waterfront restaurant/event venue is known for its southern charm. Palmettos famous Brunch features live Jazz Saturday and Sunday. The 5,000sqf covered deck provides a dramatic outdoor setting at night for romantic dinners and a comfortable relaxed atmosphere during the day.

We are honored to have been named Best Brunch, Dining with a View, and Most Romantic by various local publications throughout the years.

We're located at 1901 Bayou Lane, next to Heritage Park.

Just an altogether perfect experience every time! Great service, spectacular live music, and the food is to die for!!! And not to forget the mimosas!

I love this place. It’s definitely an amazing vibe, with a beautiful scenery, and great jazz music. The food is always cooked to perfection!

Since we were attending brunch I wished there were breakfast options but it was a set menu due to the holiday. Other than that the staff was delightful and the ambiance was beautiful. Enjoyed the live music as well.

Went in for an early Mother's Day celebration and it took a minute, but once Natalie was assigned as our server, we were in excellent hands! She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and funny to boot. The food and drinks were excellent and Natalie was just icing on the cake. The only think I could ask for would be a more extensive bar, but everything was terrific!

Palmetto on the Bayou is a vibe all by itself!! I love everything about it. The live music playing during brunch. The outdoor seating was great. Not too hot. And the food was amazing!!

A true north shore gem, this restaurant has it all. Great view, delicious food, wonderful cocktails and typically live music. Staff are professional and attentive. We were told they have a new chef, well done chef absolutely every was on point! Make reservations to secure outdoor seating and enjoy!

beautiful ambiance.. excellent service by our waitress, Natalie! tasty food! the only complaint is that the bartender didn’t know how to make an old fashion! no muddling and served with maraschino cherries????
