Pacific Coast Grill's oceanfront venue features unique Pacific Coastal cuisine, an oyster bar, select sushi rolls, and a plethora of seafood choices, delicious steaks and more! There are two levels of dining at the new PCG with every dining seat in the house carefully planned to have an ocean view. There are bars on both levels and a heated outdoor patio and a deck with one of the best views of the Pacific Ocean and the line up at Cardiff Reef. You can watch surfers, kite surfers, dolphins, whales and spectacular sunsets from throughout the restaurant.

My husband travels for work so when I tag along I enjoy finding great food, and this one didn’t disappoint. The overall experience was amazing. We had an amazing table overlooking the ocean while enjoying our meals and drinks. We would definitely come back if we’re ever back in town.

Food quality seems to have gone down at Pacific Grill. Couple that with an employee surcharge...hope I get invited to the EOY company party. I won't be back.

Service, drinks, appetizers and ambiance are always amazing. Main entrees, not so much. The pan seared sea bass was absolutely tasteless, veggies cooked nicely, but again…zero taste. The paella was way too saucy and the shell fish overcooked. Coconut crab crusted mahi mahi-mahi just ok and the cowboy steak was very fatty. I think they’re trying to be too fancy and not focusing on just making delicious food.

The food was properly prepared and served in a very timely manner. Our server,Misael, was professional and congenial . He was very attentive, yet not overbearing. The other service staff assisting him were very courteous and helpful. All in all, it was a very pleasant dining experience. I am a seasonal resident of the area and have dined often at the Pacific Coast Grill and I have never been disappointed.

Amazing view, friendly service which was impressive since it was a busy Mother’s Day brunch. Food was Good overall but bonus that kids enjoyed their food. It was our first time at PCG and hope to come back again.

We were here celebrating Mother’s Day! Every thing was top notch from the moment we arrived at valet to our greeting at the hostess desk. Our waiter Jose was friendly and knowledgeable and offered suggestions. We had Short Rib Empanadas which were not lacking on the beef along with Dungeness Crab Guacamole, this was very plentiful as well! We had two orders of the Ribeye Patty Melt, I wish I would have taken a picture because they were stacked high. I chose the Togarashi Crusted Ahi Sandwich and the flavor was amazing. KUDOS to the chef! Oh my don’t forget to have the PIPES MARTINI again bursting with flavor and heat, however just the right combination.

Awesome food with and awesome view! Gotta dip the bread in the pot sticker sauce. Steak and Lobster was outstanding. The ocean was ten feet away at high tide.

Of course, the location with that view is wonderful. The two of us tried two appetizers and an entree and they were all excellent (dumplings, calamari, sea bass). The sauces that came with each course were great, and the mash potatoes that were under the sea bass were unusually tasty. Ended up trying the dark chocolate dessert, which was excellent as well. Finally, service was attentive and friendly. Prices were quite reasonable considering the quality.

We’ve been going here for years whenever we visit the San Diego area. Only drawback this time -for lunch, large machines working on the beach, just north of the patio, were making a loud humming noise that was constant. But that will be temporary….This is a wonderful restaurant! The food is outstanding and the location is awesome!

I came in 2021 solo and sat outside by the water. We were visiting and couldn’t wait to take my husband adult daughter.i had requested an outside table a few weeks in advance. We walked and were seated at a booth inside away from a window. There was a private party on part of the patio but when I walked out, there was a whole other area with tables that weren’t part of the party. The food wasn’t up to par either. So disappointed.

Rachel was our server. She was appropriately attentive and looked after us as we enjoyed a delicious lunch outdoors as we overlooked the surfers who were riding the ocean waves. I had the seafood Cobb salad. My wife, who was celebrating her birthday, enjoyed a Ceasar salad with shrimp. Both were well presented and tasted great. Birthday dessert of white chocolate bread pudding with caramel bourbon sauce was outstanding. Will continue to go back again.

My entree was not good. It was the vegan burger, a mushy Pattie with barely warm vegan bacon. Waitress was very accommodating, bringing me a tasty salad. Always one of my go to spots when I come home to San Diego!

Sat on the outdoor patio and watched surfers and dolphins while sipping a pineapple martini! Outstanding view and service. One of my favorite spots to enjoy the scenery and friends. So relaxing and energizing at the same time.
