I would not go back. My daughter LOVES steak - ordered the filet. The asparagus had no seasoning, no taste. It was completely bland like it had been steamed and that's it. The potatoes had a funky "old" taste like they had been reheated and again, no seasoning. I ordered the ceviche, which I had been craving based on the description. When it came to the table in a bowl, I literally searched for the fish among large chunks of avocado and sent it back. Finally I ordered the hamachi crudo with all condiments on the side and it was perfect. Our server was what saved the day - kind, understanding, and accomodating.

Our server was outstanding!! The oysters were fresh and tasted great. Calamari was crisp and portion size was surprisingly large. My wife’s margarita was one of the best she had. Great experience.

From meeting our wonderful waiter Gilbert to our appetizers and then our delicious dinner it was the best experience we could ever ask for. I Definitely recommend Ostra if you haven’t been there already. A++++++ The Raw Oysters to the Mussels appetizer’s & then the Scallops dinner as well as the Filet Mignon was out of this world.

Having gone to this place over the years, expectations were high but came away disappointed- the Seafood Tower had little lobster tails were small and tough. They were smelly which means they weren’t fresh for sure. For a $350 tower? REALLY? My scallops were cooked to perfection luckily. All in all I expected good food and service and got neither… waiter never checked on us and we had to hail him down every time we needed anything (he didn’t get extra tip-he didn’t earn it). VERY DISAPPOINTED

My Wife's filet was ordered at Med-rare and delivered as Medium to med-well. This issue was noted by the server and promptly corrected. The food was marvelous and the replacement steak was perfect.

This restaurant is on the Riverwalk but is so much better than the other food we typically eat in that area! Seriously, we had the calamari and oysters to start, both were delicious. The calamari is a big serving and we couldn't finish it with the 2 of us. We split the halibut and red fish, both were cooked to perfection. Chocolate lava cake was one of the better ones we have had too. 10/10 would recommend trying this spot out.

This restaurant doesn’t have small plates on the menu. Since the 3 of us enjoy sharing small plates we ordered regular items, one at a time, and split each three ways. We ordered Texas redfish ceviche (excellent), a Caesar salad (big enough for 3), and a redfish entre (excellent! and their flagship dish), and finished with warm lava cake. Bread service was excellent. Two bottles of wine. We weren’t rushed. Great evening.

The outdoor ambience is pleasant. The service was reasonably attentive. Started with a cocktail which was not good at all. Bourbon sour that tasted like it was made with pineapple juice. They replaced it for me and the second one was better but still not great. Had the crab cake for an appetizer and, although it had a sizable amount of breading in it, the breading was light and the shredded crab within had a good flavor. The fresh bread and whipped butter were quite good. The entree however was a huge disappointment. I had the halibut for my main course and it was a very thin piece of salty, dry and over cooked fish that I could not finish. They tried ti compensate for the poor entree by offering a dessert which I declined. I might be willing to try this restaurant again but perhaps only for lunch and I would stick with more basic fare and wine or beer rather than cocktails. Was in town on business and the experience at this restaurant overall was quite disappointing.

While in San Antonio this restaurant is an absolute must on the Riverwalk!! Food is fantastic, service impeccable, ambience spectacular. We dined there twice during a three day visit, once for dinner and once for lunch. Great value with food that sets it apart in the fried food jungle that is that section of the Riverwalk.

Our food was good. Typical of a hotel restaurant in a tourist area, it was a little overpriced. The setting on the river was pleasant. Our server, George, was outstanding and really made our meal. Very friendly and attentive.

Not the service I had expected. Was told we could sit outside and the moved inside to table that would not accommodate as an example. Long wait time for food. Although menu items I prefer on the Ostra vs Four Brothers…overall experience much preferred at FB.

Rodrigo went above and beyond in service during our last visit. He was very busy with multiple tables but he never made us feel like we weren't a priority or ever left us waiting. He made great recommendations for entrees and even helped us with an odd personal request. Food was delicious and had some different flavor profiles than your standard fare. We enjoyed our visit.

Just ok. I had the salmon with bokchoy and the bokchoy was inedible, it was just so tough I couldn’t even cut it. The salmon was good the service was good. Nothing special though.

I made a reservation at 5:15pm on Saturday 3rd Feb. The service was amazing however the restaurant wasn't busy at that stage. I ordered the Tuna steak which was absolutely amazing, cooked to perfection with sides that matched perfectly. My experience was excellent so would highly recommend visiting for a great meal.

As we walked in, it was very quiet and not very busy for a Friday compared to another time we visited. It had a really bad smell. The server was really nice. The prices were way beyond reasonable. $46 for a dozen oysters! That’s more than any other place we have visited in the US, including Las Vegas. We ordered beer, cocktail (Texas tea). The cocktail was good. We bit the bullet and ordered their seafood platter (a dozen oysters, ceviche, boiled shrimp, crab claws) The oysters were tiny, shrimp was cold and good. The crab claws smelled bad and tasted funky so left them alone. Wife had salad, friend had fried calamari. Calamari’s breading was falling off and a bit rubbery. No dessert. Total? $194 plus tip! We did not even get any entrees. Yes, it’s river walk and expected to pay a bit more than normal but this was way beyond what we expected.

Service and meal were exceptional. My husband had the tuna and I had the red fish. We shared a pistachio and ricotta cake. Truly a wonderful meal.

Apps were very good, entrees came out cold, and under seasoned. Had to flag down staff to check on food, them came out cold so not sure if they were understaffed or kitchen made each at different ti.es and some plates juat sat for an extended time

Do not get linguini and clams. This was horrible. Extremely small portion. Dried, overcooked clams. And just 3 of them. This dish was the same size as my daughter's kids pasta which was just noodles and tomato paste. No salt. No flavor. $32 for about 5 bites of food. What a rip. Halibut was overcooked and dry. Wish we went to Landrys down the way. Yes it's a chain but at least you get decent value. Won't be coming back here.

Food was great as always! I highly recommend the scallops! Our waiter Jorge was so accommodating & attentive. He definitely deserves recognition for his attention to customer service & satisfaction. Our favorite restaurant when we stay on the Riverwalk.
