Evoking the spirit of the original Joe’s of Westlake, the newly renovated restaurant transports guests to Westlake circa 1960. Boasting Sputnik lighting, terrazzo flooring and redwood accents throughout, Original Joe’s Westlake elicits mid-century America in the likes of Palm Springs, Beverly Hills and Las Vegas. The newly reimagined Cascade Room features show-stopping pimento orange banquettes, and offers a variety of options for large gatherings—from private rehearsal dinners and memorial receptions, to smaller non-private family dinners, class reunions and birthday celebrations. With beautiful custom sliding doors, the Cascade Room can be divided in half, creating two fully private event spaces, accommodating up to 50 guests each.

It took so long to use a gift certificate I had for over 2 years. Finally got a table at 11.30 am on a Tuesday morning. Group of 6 our waiter was so condescending and seemed to think we were all hard ofhearing!!

Joe’s of Westlake never disappoints. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy a meal with friends. Food and service is top notch. When I go with friends for lunch I always have to get the Porterhouse to-go for my husband! Best ToGo dinner ever!

Dinner at Joe’s is always a great time! You are quickly greeted with a smile and a basket of warm sourdough. I recommend always starting with calamari which is served piled high with the best cocktail sauce that comes with a kick. All other portions are generous so being disciplined is key when ordering. Service is genuine, kitchen is quick and the staff is good about maintaining the balance between taking care of you & leaving you alone to enjoy your company.

My son took me for Mother’s Day. It was a wonderful meal! I had the Sole Piccata which is my favorite from the menu. My son had the Chicken Alfredo which he loved. We had the best dessert on the menu for me, which is the Butter Cake w/ vanilla bean gelato. The service was great, although because it was Mother’s Day, the kitchen was a little backed up. But well worth the wait. The only complaint was there was a draft from above our booth, so I had to keep my coat on. Overall, a great evening! Joe’s never disappoints. 🤩

We arrived at 140p for 2pm appt & got seated immediately. Our server came right away & asked us for drinks and came back right away with 2 glasses of water, a hot water, a bottle of San Pellegrino. Here is my first encounter of a very disappointing Mother's Day lunch with my wife and kids. After I poured the Pellegrino, I noticed a red stain around the rim of my glass and the server forgot a glass Cabernet. I asked the server to change the glass & he came back with a clean glass but asked me if it's "clean" instead of apologizing. Oh, still no glass of Cab. He took our order & our placed in the system at 1:47pm (Printed on the Check). Our appetizers came with in 20min. They came back a few times & checked on us if everything was OK & needed anything. I'm still waiting for a glass of Cab & didn't want to bother on busy after & hoping it will arrive anytime soon. At 2:55pm (Over an hour paased after the order was taken), I asked the server if the kitchen was "backed up" & he said "It's Mother's Day and they're very but but will check." I reminded him about the glass of Cabernet and he came back right away with it. 5 minutes later, he arrives with 3 entrees: 2 Ribeyes and a salad. Both steaks were cold to touch and plates were ice-cold. My wife's salad came with wrong dressing. The last entree was a pasta & arrived 2 minutes later. It was hot & tasted good. We asked the server to redo the salad & that came back in about 5 min correctly. Manager got involved & offered to reheat the Steaks but I didn't want a Medium steak reheated to Med-Well or to a"rubber". Also offered us to make new in 20min but we decided we were done at this point. They offered we take the Steaks home but we decided not to. We got charged for the appetizers and Pellegrino. It's wasn't that they were busy, our food was sitting there and no one cared to deliver it when it came out of the kitchen. And, the audacity to bring cold stakes to the table & expect us to eat it? smh

I like that my husband and I can split a salad and an entree at no extra cost, and, even ask for half an order of Fried Calamari. It's so filling for the both of us. So happy with the taste of the food, too. Yummy! It's one of our favorite places to eat in Daly City.

This is our favorite Bay Area restaurant. The food is consistently delicious, the service is great no matter how busy it is and the overall vibe is family fun! All locations are great but this is our preferred.

Had lunch and started with the calamari as a starter and linguini and clams of which both were awesome as always. Highly recommend both dishes. You can’t go wrong ordering anything here as all the food is always enjoyable. I recommend seating in the booths at the back of the restaurant as it’s quieter and had nice views. Free parking lots makes rounds out the dining experience.

My party enjoyed the luncheon immensely. We all thought the food and ambiance were tip top. But what made our dining especially exceptional was our server, Jose. He treated us like royalty and catered to our every wish. He was very personable and charming as well. I would like to request him as our server when we return.

Food was great. The only turn off was we felt our waiter was rushing us bec him and another waiter keeps coming and asking us if we’re done with our food or we need boxes. We know there were lots of diners waiting but there should be more space and time away from waiters.

To get reservations, go to OpenTable at least 2-3 days in advance for in between times of lunch and dinner, 2-4:30pm. For lunch or regular dinner reservations call ahead by a week or two for special occasions. 😁

A special lunch. The food was perfect, the cocktails were perfect. Our waiter was excellent. We sat in a spacious booth beside the huge windows. No one rushed us or forgot us. It was just great!

It’s been several months since we were last at Original Joe’s. Nice to know that the food hasn’t changed … outstanding as usual. And that goes for the service, too. Original Joe’s does not disappoint!
