The restaurant felt understaffed and unprepared for Mother’s Day. Our coffee took 20 minutes and our order was not taken until an hour after being seated. It was very slow service, but the food was good.

Our waters were always empty; we had to follow up twice for more salsa; and while I was in the bathroom at the end of the meal and my purse was still in the booth, someone asked my husband to leave the table (you gained what? two minutes?). My husband has Celiac and we were hoping to find a place where we can be regulars in our neighborhood but these folks were more interested in turning tables than providing good food with a good experience.

I work in the neighborhood and love Origin...however, the service is typically quite slow. It is always a mad-dash to be seated, greeted, order and eat all within an hour. On this trip...we had a reservation yet we had to wait because there were no tables. Once seated, we ordered immediately and then waited over thirty minutes to be served our food. I will continue to eat at Origin but could we please step up the pace slightly...especially for those on their one hour lunch.

There’s never been a visit to origin we haven’t had the best food, the best host and servers, and wonderful atmosphere accommodating gluten dairy and soy free sensitivities. We are a family of three and drive from Fort Worth to have an easy and relaxing meal together so that mama doesn’t have to cook or clean! Sounds pretty perfect to me. Will be returning every couple weeks because why not!

My food was very good. I had the grass fed burger with lettuce instead of a bun. Another person had the chicken & waffles. He said it was better than another chicken & waffle place. A third person had the steak & eggs. He said it was good. I am so happy to have a restaurant close by that does not use seed oil and uses organic when ecologically feasible and uses pasture raised meats & eggs. One negative: the person cleaning tables sprayed 7th generation spray on the table next to us. We could smell the fragrance at our table, as we ate our food. Maybe use Branch Basics to spray and wash tables so there is no fragrance or spray the rag directly so the spray does not spread around.

Food was a Meh. We were there for a 6:30 dinner it was extremely noisy. Horribly understaffed with what looked like one bartender and one person cooking. The three of us ordered cocktails - they were watery - not well prepared - took about 20 minutes to get them and were overpriced at $17 each. The entire cost was over $150 and was not an enjoyable experience. Would not recommend.

Expensive. Loud. For a healthy restaurant, not all servers are informed enough to answer questions about the menu. The noise level is beyond comfortable. Needs more vegan cheese options than cashew queso for mac, tacos. and queso. Want to like it, but more affordable healthy restaurants are making debuts, thank goodness!

Love the fact that it is one of the cleanest eating restaurants out there. No seed oils, lots of gluten free and paleo options. However, the service is lacking. We were barely greeted. Someone finally came over to seat us, our server was fine, but almost like he was doing us a favor. Never checked to see if we needed anything after our food was delivered or asked how it was. Luckily the food was good. Maybe it was an off day or it was their B team working. Either way for the quality of food and expense they could do so much better if they upped their service.

The menu looked good. I ordered the bison chili and it was burned. I would have said something if anyone had come by to ask how how everything was. It was also overpriced in my opinion.

Chicken and waffle was really lackluster. Heard good things about this place prior to going. The rest of the tables food looked delicious. Bloody Mary was 10/10 taste but I would suggest giving regular size straws instead of bar straws, but that’s minor. Made it hard to drink

Having gluten allergies, it is hard to find quality dining, even in the Metroplex. Origin Kitchen is outstanding. Though a tad noisy, you cannot beat the food. So far, every dish has been a homerun. I will continue to introduce my friends to this find!

Service was weak but food was quite good. Hard to find that good of gluten free food at most other restaurants. So we will probably suffer with the poor service again in the future.

This was a great place to eat it. We loved how they had a variety of options that were gluten free, dairy free and soy free. There was plenty of parking. Our server was friendly and we even met the GM who also friendly. It’s a really nice place and we will definitely be back.

There were absolutely zero wait staff - took over 35 minutes for anyone to come greet us at our table & then took another 30 for them to come back & take our order (of which three items were incorrect)

I love this place so much. It is so healthy, no seed oils and everything pasture raised. It has a nice ambience, nice workers, and very consistent food.

I don’t live in Dallas but every time I visit this is my definite go to restaurant! With a gluten allergy it is so great to eat a meal without any cross contamination concerns and actually have a gluten free meal that tastes amazing!!

Overall amazing gluten free food. So nice to be able to try all the things on the menu. The dairy free Mac n cheese was the only thing that was bad. Highly recommend the orange chicken. Server remembered us and was great.

Used to go to Origin Kitchen more often but it seems to me that while prices have increased, quality of food has decreased. Close to $28 dollars without tip for a salad seems a bit much to me. It is unfortunate because I really liked that place.

This was our second visit to Origin in the last couple of weeks. We were seated right away and a server took our drink and appitizer order just after we were seated. As in our previous visit, the food was all Gluten Free and delicious and the service was prompt but unobtrusive. We will definetly be coming back again!
