We had a birthday celebration and it was Perfect! We had a table in the back room, which was less busy and noisy. The food and service was excellent, which made for a great experience. Definitely will go back!

A group of seven of us went there on Monday night. The overall experience left us with mixed feelings. Scallop Specials: Introduced by the staff serviced our table. It’s too Salty, also it’s more expensive compared to other main dishes on the dinner menu. Chicken & Mushroom Risotto: it tasted fine, but not to my standard. Tip Calculated Automatically One aspect that caught us off guard was the automatic tip calculation. Without asking, the restaurant included the tip in our total bill. While we appreciate the convenience, it would have been nice to have the option to adjust the tip based on our experience. Warmth of Service Unfortunately, we didn’t feel particularly well-treated during our visit. The staff efficiently took our orders and delivered the food promptly, but there was a lack of warmth or personal touch. A smile or a friendly chat can go a long way in enhancing the dining experience.

The overall restaurant was comfortable and inviting. The food was priced high for quality. The Chicken Risotto was presented with breaded, deep fried, over cooked chicken breast. My meals was very dry deep fried fish with pickled rice. Not impressed for a higher class restaurant. Maybe next time try grilled or a healthier version or option.

I had the bourbon salmon and it was absolutely amazing. My boyfriend loved the bacon wrapped meatloaf… Definitely a great idea for date night :)

Very nice, elegant ambience. Our server Amanda was very pleasant and friendly. The food was delicious, from the North Star burger (cooked perfectly to taste) to the pizza and perch fry...and the apple cobbler, topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, was mouth-watering.

This neighborhood restaurant is well worth a great meal. Always received great service and food. The Macadamia shrimp fry on Fridays is great.

I ordered the meatloaf that came with mashed potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts. The meatloaf and sprouts were overly oily. No need to use that much oil when roasting Brussels sprouts.

This was our first time dining at North Star Bistro. The service was excellent. The drinks were awful. They were super sweet and mediocre at best. The appetizers and soup were excellent. The main dishes were mediocre. I ordered a well done steak- knowing that restaurants always undercook. (I wanted medium.) They brought me a rare steak. I sent it back and it was corrected perfectly. We thought the atmosphere and service didn’t match the menu offerings. All in all, we would not dine again. It wasn’t awful but not worth the money. I think the menu needs an update and the bar tenders need some education.

We decided to check this place out as it was recommended by a friend. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive! We both got the Poke Bowls. Mine with chicken and his with salmon. I think I had maybe 1/3 of a chicken breast in my salad. It also was supposed to have avacado in it which I swear I had maybe just a few small pieces of in my salad. So basically we paid $18.50 for a bowl of cabbage with a bit of chicken. It was a disappointing dinner out and we most likely won’t go back.

We had to ask if we had a server because after we were seated nobody came to our table to bring water or take drink order etc. After I inquired we were immediately taken care of and our server was fantastic. I believe his name is Justin. Overall North Star Bistro is fantastic!! We will keep coming back.

Consistently fine food. Between the four of us we had the crab cake salad, the whitefish and bourbon salmon. Delicious. Service was very attentive. A great place for a meal with friends. Which is just what we did.

Always delicious, great menu, love the salad options with great protein add-ons. Service is excellent. I prefer a booth due to hearing difficulties. We enjoy the outdoor dining in the summer and ride our bikes there.

Once again, North Star Bistro is a favorite "go to" restaurant in Brookfield. We always enjoy the food -- this time, beef tenderloin, bourbon salmon, and short ribs. The Tuscan bean soup was amazing. The service staff is always attentive and friendly. Price point is very fair for a quality experience. We especially appreciate the calm and relaxing atmosphere, at a time when many restaurants have over the top stimulation and noise levels. Thank you, North Star Bistro!

We love the North Star American Bistro. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Service was a little slow the night we were there but we always chalk that up to not enough staff to help out these days. Overall - we still think it’s one of the best dining experiences in Brookfield.

Perfect place for casual dress and good quality food. Atmosphere is nice, but can get a bit on the louder side. If you’re with a bigger group- don’t plan on hearing across the table.

Not a winner for us. Quiet. Our waitress was slow, my drink wasn’t mixed well. Bacon wrapped meatloaf could have been better. Scallop saffron risotto was okay. The risotto was a bit undercooked. The scallops tasted better with the arugula and goat cheese on top. Crème brûlée was good. It was expensive for what we got
