    The setting is beautiful but the food is too pretentious and the service was very slow. The courses did not move along, especially the dessert course took FOREVER

    I live in the neighborhood but this was my first time visiting the restaurant with my family for mother's day. All the staff members (the manager Julio, the server, and the kitchen staffs) were extremely helpful and kind and thoughtful. It was not just the quality food but also a great dining experience that made everyone excited. Thank you North Pond <3

    The service is outstanding as always, your glass is never empty and if you happen to drop a napkin, it’s replaced before you are able to pick it up. This is my 4th time eating here and by far one of my favorites in Chicago. The food is amazing and the scenery is picturesque.

    North Pond is an outstanding experience🤩. I took my mom for Mother’s Day and it was excellent. The food was creative and delicious and the service was superb. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The setting of course next to the pond is lovely. Can’t recommend this place enough!

    The dining space is intimate and tables well spaced. We were next to a party of 6 and didn’t even notice. Our server Liz was cheerful and pleasant and took great care of us throughout the evening. The portions were good and the pacing made it a comfortable 4 course meal with an additional lobster course shared. The flavors were wonderful and the chefs prepared everything perfectly. Scallops, lamb, octopus and lobster were all tender and melted in the mouth. A wonderful overall experience from arrival to finish. Thank you!

    Wonderful food and service in a quiet space that is enhanced by the prairie architecture and interior design that combined creates a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. An added and appreciated approach from our server and the staff was not rushing us through the courses. There was plenty of time to enjoy each dish and for conversation. All of these attributes have been consistently characteristic of North Pond in each of the many occasions we have dined there.

    Something I think should be noted is our server had visibly long and dirty nails. Otherwise the dining experience and food was great!

    Dinner was for a special occasion and they did not miss a beat! The presentation and flavor of each course was amazing, the staff was very friendly and extremely attentive. This was an exceptional dining experience!
