Worst nobu ever. Staff was decent. But food was cold, salty and took for ever. Place is lacking good management. Almost like a forgotten restaurant.

Took our son to have a Nobu experience as our first time was amazing(las Vegas location). While the food was amazing, the ambience was not so much- too loud, and for the prices I’d expect patrons to also dress more appropriately (not in sweatshirts and tees). It was so loud we could not hear our servers explain the Omakase dishes. I don’t mind splurging on good meals but unfortunately our dining experience at the San Diego location was not worth the splurge! Had the environment been a bit quiet and patrons attire reflected the Nobu vibe it would’ve been a much better experience!

Food was outstanding. Always a bit pricey but nothing else matches the quality and consistency in Japanese restaurants.

Haven’t been to Nobu in the Gaslamp District for several years. We had a concert at the Rady Shell and decided to grab dinner at Nobu. Easy walk to the Shell from Nobu, by the way. Everything about our experience was excellent. Amazing execution by the entire team. Of course, we got the miso black cod. We also tried the simple salad for the first time. Delicious. Everything was fresh and the entire crew got us out in plenty of time for our event. Well played, Nobu !! Thank you.

NOBU never disappoints. We ordered the vegetable tempura, spicy creamy rock shrimp tempura, spicy tuna roll, miso cod, and bento box for dessert. It was delicious.

Sobrevalorados los platillos. Los sushis son como los de cualquier buffet. No fué lo que esperaba. Personal bien. Ambiente bien. Comida muy promedio.

We set a reservation for 9 pm to celebrate our anniversary. I recently had a really good experience at the Nobu in Newport Beach, so I made this reservation. We were shown a very noisy table wedged between other tables along bench style booth on one side. We asked to sit at the sushi bar and the hostess said "We do last call in 15 minutes" Well if you do last call in 15 minutes, then why were we able to book a table at 9? Now its Saturday night and too late to try to walk in to whatever is still open, so we stayed but I wish we had left. I felt like the hostess gave us attitude, the waitresses was not friendly and asked if "we were sure we wanted the sake we selected" because it was dry. She also did not bring soy sauce. We ended up at the sushi bar, the sushi wasn't spectacular, but it was good. The waitress made it very clear we could not order a second round of hot food, which was too bad because I started to feel cold and I wanted soup. At that price the food should be impressive, it was decent, it was not on a par with Matoi or the other expensive spots. Place was super loud and every seat seemed to be full... I have no idea why they would close so early or why the waitstaff made us feel like we were overstaying. For $350 we should have a little more intimacy, and at least an hour to order and eat. Or how about warning when we booked... that we had 15 minutes to order?? Food is good but overpriced and this feels more like a nightclub than a sushi restaurant. Maybe they need a break out room for the sushi bar.
