Been here many times. Food is always good. We had a bone in filet and a bone in ribeye. Both cooked very nicely, but way too salty.

The host was kind and accommodating for our tardy arrival. Madeline, our server was helpful and just the right amount of informative and attentive. My partner really enjoyed his first meal at Murray's and we both appreciate the delicious medium-rare ribeye steaks!

Servers were very nice, but it took a long time for the food, which was oddly overcooked, over-the-top-salty steaks. We have been coming for decades, and this was very disappointing

We were very disappointed in the silver butter knife steak. The meat was tough and flavor was t good. However, two of us had the New York strip and really enjoyed it. Sides were a bit bland also

I don’t want to say anything mean. The person sitting next to us was very loud. The food was OK. I will say our waitress and the lady busing our table were awesome.

Every meal I have at Murray’s is memorable and yesterday was no exception. The food was unbelievable and the service was spectacular, as always. Our team wanted to celebrate one of our members for lunch and she chose Murray’s (probably because that is where we celebrate with a big group every year for a very festive holiday lunch). What often goes unnoticed is what a great deal it is for lunch - a significantly better “bang-for-your buck” than all of the other take-out and dine in options.

Based on the attentive staff, I had high expectation for the food. The carpaccio was excellent. But the next two dishes did not meet the taste and quality of the carpaccio. The oysters Rockefeller were tasty. But the oysters were chopped. The onion soup had more heavy dark broth than onion and was a one note dish. It needed more onion and a lighter broth. My sever Amy (?) was great. She was there when I needed her without being there too much. Kudos to her

It would not be an understatement to say we had the best experience we’ve enjoyed out in years. And I work in the industry and we dine out A LOT. Joey was hands down one of the best servers we’ve had in years. The assist staff were kind and efficient and so attentive. We chose Murray’s because it was one of the last steak houses in town we haven’t been to. Now, I’m not sure we could find a reason to go somewhere else. The wine was incredible, the peppercorn steak wasn’t anything we’d normally order but wow are we so glad we tried it. Truly remarkable. We took the raspberry pie slice home and had pie—really good pie—for breakfast. Perfect birthday choice, that will certainly become just a good random Tuesday choice in the future. Thanks to the whole team for a remarkable night.

Delicious! Was a great meal. Got the butter knife steak. Of the three desserts we tried the cheesecake was the best.

Food was quite good and Alyssa, our server was exceptional. So friendly and helpful. The noise level however was through the roof! My friend and I had to nearly shout to hear each other.

Marvelous meal from start to finish. The bone-in filet was simply fantastic. The Murray’s raspberry pie was the finishing touch. Our waiter, Ricky, did a fabulous job.

We had cocktails in the bar for happy hour prior to being seated; prices, service, and ambience were all great. Shane was an amazing waiter, giving us history on the restaurant and establishment. We started with salads & soup (French onion, & chicken & rice) both were very savory. We split the filet, crab cake medallions, and added scallop potatoes, and finished with cream brûlée; all were amazing. We’d be back if we lived closer.

Had been awhile since we had dinner here and was not disappointed. Booth in the corner was extra nice place to be seated. Steaks prepared well. Not a big fan of the key lime pie -- needed more lime. Service very good.

It’s strange that for a nicer restaurant that’s famous there’s no waiting area. The blonde host wasn’t very friendly at all, seemed like we were inconveniencing her by being there. At one point the entrance was very crowded! It was just a strange first impression. The rest was great!

We went to Murray’s for a date night. We absolutely loved everything about the experience. Our server, Shane, was exceptional. Great food suggestions, fun history of the restaurant , altogether extremely fun as a server. The food was amazing. I can’t say enough about the whole evening. Highly recommend Murray’s.

Even after all these years, Murray's is still the best. Excellent service and consistent, high quality food. There is a feeling of a rebound downtown after the corrupt movements and politicians killed the city. Hang in there Minneapolis, better times ahead. We love ya!

Overall, another outstanding dinner at Murray's, one of our go-to restaurants. Two criticisms: I generally believe that servers can wait until you finish your salad before they bring the main course, but the server brought the steaks when we were still eating our salads, which felt rushed. Also, I'd said in my reservation that we were celebrating two birthdays, but they didn't acknowledge that, at least at first. When the server brought the dessert menu, I pointed out the birthdays, so our server gave them two special desserts gratis. Not a major deal, but when I note something on the Open Table reservation, I expect someone to read that note before we show up. Otherwise, we love the food at Murray's, and, in contrast to too many restaurants where we can't hear ourselves think, the restaurant's sound level, which makes dinner conducive to civilized conversations that don't require us to shout at each other.
