Muriel's was one of the best restaurants we have ever visited. The staff was attentive, the ambiance was classic and historic, and the food was simply amazing. We had one vegetarian in our group and the menu had plenty to offer the vegetarian as well as the meat eater. As an added bonus, Muriel's comes with its own resident ghost! You don't want to miss this place when visiting New Orleans.

The food was just fabulous. Delicious New Orleans cooking! And the service absolutely top notch. The restaurant architecture and design is something else with quite a lot of history to the building.

This restaurant has a great location. My husband and I had a great dinner. We had several dishes and they were all very different and delicious. We started with the burrata and eggplant compote and the egg rolls which had a very rich and salty sauce. We dipped the table bread in it and it was exquisite. Later we had the fillet with wedged potatoes and broccolini, asparagus and roasted cauliflower with quinoa (this was a good dish but I could have used more). For dessert, we are typically a chocolate people, but we tried both the chocolate cake, which had an ice cream scoop with warm praline pecans and the pudding bread which was highly recommended and would totally eat again. So soft, caramel filled and cinnamon filled too.

Kevin our waiter was excellent and very attentive. The duck and the red fish. Were flavorful. I had a side of grits that made the red fish even more impressive

FABULOUS dining experience. Our party of four arrived half an hour before our reservation, and we didn’t expect to be taken in. We asked if there was any possibility of being taken early. They were extremely gracious, and did provide us with a spacious table for four by the window!! That totally set the tone of the whole evening that was perfect in every way, the food from appetizer to dessert was delectable. Wine and mixed cocktails were delicious. And the service was perfect. If we lived nearby we’d be a regular. Thank you Muriel’s and the staff for a wonderful evening dining experience.

The service was very poor. Completely messed up the order even after a lengthy wait for the food. The front dining room is extremely loud which makes conversation very difficult. Would not recommend to anyone.

We waited SO long to get our lunches, that we almost left. Upon asking what was happening, the food immediately appeared but cold. It obviously had been sitting out somewhere but the waiter didn’t bother getting it to us. No apologies were made!

Five of us went to lunch on Saturday of Jazz Fest, overall great experience marred slightly by one waitress who was less than friendly. However, this was made up for by rest of staff who were great. Lunch was enjoyable with fun cocktails and good food - tried the turtle soup for first time, which was very good. However, the real winner was going upstairs after lunch - fantastic lounge/seance room is beautiful, with great background ghost story to accompany it. It is a must see that we would have missed except for a great waiter who came by at the end of lunch. Don't miss this if you go.

Good experience, but a steak knife should be sharp enough to cut broccolini, easily fixed by having a junior staff member learn how to sharpen from one of the chefs

Our waitress was awful. We froze in air conditioning stun mode. And the noise level was rediculous. Food was tasty but we ill not return to this experience.

Food was overworldly. Partner had a vampires kiss drink which was the best they had in the quarter. Food was some of the best of our trip. Don’t miss the fun ghost lore and ghost table with monk music, ask your services where. Service was great and we felt well taken care of.

Our sever (blonde) was horrible. Rolling her eyes at our group. Put out to answer questions about Antionne - the ghost. We are hosted a group of 7 and also hosting a group of 40 on Saturday. A bit nervous to be honest…

This is our second time eating here in 9 years. The restaurant still serves phenomenal food however the atmosphere has really become more casual than it used to be. Smart casual has now become jean shorts and tube tops for a fine dining experience. A woman at a table near us had a dog in her oversized purse! Again, the food was delicious, but we attended for an anniversary dinner/birthday dinner and we couldn’t hear one another speak it was so loud. We politely asked to move to a corner seat or window seat since we made reservations over a month in advance, but the restaurant manager declined our request. A bummer since we were seated in a busy walkway. We were the most formally dressed and had a reservation, and sat in the worst area. I understand they can’t control the patron volume, but I was hopeful for a better ambiance. The food was stellar, so if you don’t mind a louder room, I say go for it.

I really liked the ambiance. Very New Orleans. Definitely check out the Ghost Table and Seance room. Food was very tasty. I had the Turtle Soup and Duck and found them very tasty. I had an Old Fashioned cocktail that was also very well made.

I think Muriel’s prix fixe menu is the best deal in town! We had the very generously sized goat cheese crepes, followed by the huge double-cut pork chop and finished with the lovely and light bread pudding. The restaurant is loud, as most New Orleans restaurants seem to be, but we were tucked into a little nook with a hanging panel separating us from our neighbors. Service was very attentive (Raine? and Kevin). A great evening.
