The waiters were really personable and hardworking. We tried 3 evenings in a row to get a reservation and finally on the four night we got in. Their famous Bacon wrapped Shrimp and grits was served cold and when the waiter returned with a second dish it was not really warm as well. The shrimp was average. The roux was lacking the rich flavor of shrimp and was disappointing and grits were pedestrian. The crab cake however was stellar with large pieces of lump crab and the duck roll did not disappoint.

As always the oysters and BBQ shrimp were excellent. Extra service from the Maitre D who personally walked my wife and got her a taxi when she left early from dinner, not feeling well. First class place

Jazz Brunch was the tops. The musicians showed plenty of chops. And Chris from The Aloha State was a fun and friendly waiter!

Great meal and excellent service. We had the BBQ shrimp and pork chop. Both were delicious. Drinks were good but not special. Food was outstanding. We also enjoyed the bread pudding and icebox lemon pie. Both were again delicious. We didn’t have e a reservation and got one last minute on notify. So happy it worked out. One of our most enjoyable meals on our visit.

We waited 15 minutes to receive menus. I finally had to go ask the matre’d for some menus. For some reason, our waitress did not want to serve us. We were dressed appropriately for the restaurant. I don’t think she likes tourists.

We come to NOLA often and always have at least one meal here. Beautiful place, gorgeous food. Our server this time was Clarence, and we adored him. Try the brandy milk punch - they use ice cream!

This is one of my favorite restaurants and I am always so happy with the BBQ shrimp, this time was no different. Our server was very attentive. The bread pudding was an excellent end to the meal. Highly recommend

I dined at B's many times and overall it is great. They were very busy as usual but not as many bus boys. Food arrived was warm but not hot, I think because all the waiters so were busy. Our waiter was nice and knowledgeble. Past experiences were great. Will return.

Yeah: Flash Fried oysters were incredible. Terrone provided excellent service. Overall food was delicious. Boo: Host at the reception desk wasn’t exactly welcoming, we were seating on a traffic aide fr kitchen and lost count how many times my chair was bumped. Gumbo wasn’t exactly hot out of the kitchen. I’ll go back - maybe even just pop in for those oysters as a snack.

Terrance was our server and as a longtime employee he was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and they were delicious. The trout almandine was also delicious.

10:30 am reservation. First 8 people to be seated. The host sat us at the furthest section from the live music. We could not hear it at all the entire time. We went there to listen to music on our last day in town and couldn’t hear it. Why would the host put us at the opposite side of the restaurant from the music when we were first group there ? Worth paying more if the ambience is there. That was not existent. $117 for a few small cocktails and two breakfast entrees. Our server Renata was great. Food was ok but expensive for what it was.

Excellent menu selections. Beautiful, elegant restaurant. Server was pleasant but not as expedient in service as hoped. Restaurant was busy and noise level was high. Wonderful bread pudding.

Have been going to Mr. B’s since it opened. Always reliably good food, but a hallmark of the place was impeccable service. Went today and was terribly disappointed.

Absolutely loved this place. And the French Quarter district, this restaurant will not disappoint. Very excellent food with great service. My wife and I were there for a weekend getaway, and this was our favorite stop for the entire weekend.

BBQ Shrimp never disappoints!! We saw a few of the PGA players who also seemed to enjoy their meals. Celebrated our 39th anniversary. We ate here on our honeymoon. Always a must go to in NOLA.

As a former local visiting the city, I was so disappointed by the quality of the food. It was sub par. Cold bread, too. The attention to detail and flavor were missing entirely. Will likely skip during my next visit. Sad.

I made this reservation for my wife and her mother. The food was fantastic but their server was extremely bad. Poor service can ruin great food. Whereas great service can elevate mediocre food.

We had a wonderful evening dining at Mr. B's. Everyone was so welcoming. Our server was knowledgeable and gave wonderful recommendations. The drinks, salad, meal and desserts were exceptional. We were all raving about the experience and would absolutely return.

Great food. Tom was our excellent server. The pace was slower than expected but we were in no hurry and enjoyed my birthday lunch. It’s a destination must.

We went for Saturday brunch/lunch. We had an enjoyable lunch and we weren't rushed at all. There was 4 of us and an additional 2 people joined us very late. The restaurant was extremely accommodating. The 4 of us shared the duck egg rolls, fried oysters and fried green tomatoes. The duck was my favorite and was delicious. My friend and I shared the Sheepshead Fish; we were skeptical but it exceeded our expectations. Another person had the shrimp and grits and liked them as well. I believe our waiters name was Michael and he gave us great suggestions and was very personable.
