Wow!! This was our first time returning to Morimoto after I had gotten sick at our last visit and had to cut our dinner short before we could even eat (not sick due to the restaurant at all). This time around, our server Sean was so knowledgeable and paid attention to every little detail ensuring we had the best experience of our entire trip. His food recommendations and sommelier knowledge of Sake were so spot on and we could not have asked for a better experience. We will be coming back on every trip to Maui. Thank you Sean and the whole staff & kitchen. So amazing!!!

Honestly, one of the most disappointing dining experiences of my entire life. Been wanting to experience a Morimoto restaurant for decades, and finally had the chance in Maui. And, well, other than a great waiter and insanely awesome view of the sunset, ALL the rest was BAD. Hands down some of the worst sushi I’ve ever had, watered down cocktails and even watered down SAKE🤦🏼‍♂️ They definitely sell people on the amazing view, great location in a very nice resort, and on Morimotos name. Unfortunately, zero percent worth the price tag. We actually cancelled our entree order, paid the bill ($$$$) and left and went to a much better spot in Wailea. First time I’ve ever been to 2 sushi spots in the same night, guess I can mark that off the list.

Food was delicious. Kitchen timing of courses was very off. Our server was very personable. We had a bad table location but otherwise a nice experience.

An insane foodie experience. Make sure to have the sake sommelier help you choose the right one - he is very knowledgeable! Every dish was exceptional. Must haves - oh-toro, pork gyozas, A5 Wagu, mushrooms, and duck confit fried rice. The Ube cheesecake was also fabulous and also paired perfectly with our sake.

The food and the service were terrific at Morimotos at the beautiful Andaz Resort. I was a little surprised that the outdoor patio area was so close to the kids' pool area (less than a foot deep), but that wasn’t an issue. We chose the Wine and Wagyu prefixed lunch and were blown away by the experience. Four courses with three courses paired with red wine. I could eat this meal regularly but I was surprised that the Cabernet Sauvignon was part of the first course vs the main course, but it went well with the starter - the waygu carpaccio. I have to say, if you are a fan of A5 Wagyu and you are in the Wailea area in Maui, this is a fantastic lunch experience.

We opted for the wagyu tasting experience paired with their wine selection. It was delicious from beginning to end. The three courses of wagyu melts in your mouth. The first course, carpaccio, was a little tangy. It had a citrusy sauce that could easily be used for a fish carpaccio. The second course was a A5 wagyu nigiri. Delicious! The absolute best course was our main. It was Morimoto’s bop. (Not sure if that’s the right name.) it was rice dish inside a 600-degree heated stone bowl that cooked the beef. There was a raw egg yolk on top of the rice which the server mixed up at the table and made a whole presentation of it. The wine served with the dishes were amazing as well, but I can’t remember the names of the wines. All were cabs. I loved the whole experience and so did my husband and kids—15 and 16 yr old.

Excellent ambience, lunch selections are limited to prior visits. Food quality fabulous, service was slow, notice that restaurant was not busy.
