Mon Ami Gabi est un bistro français classique et un steakhouse. Au-delà des plats favoris qui sont toujours disponibles, le menu évolutif propose constamment des nouveautés. Au menu, des classiques traditionnels tels que la soupe à l'oignon gratinée, le poulet rôti style grand-mère avec des champignons, du bacon et des petits oignons, ainsi que le steak-frites. Pour complémenter la cuisine, une vaste sélection de plus de 80 cépages boutique français sont servis au verre ou à la bouteille depuis le très original charriot à vin mobile. Venez pour le brunch du dimanche entre 10h et 14h! Sirotez des Mimosas ou installez-vous confortablement avec votre café du matin afin de déguster votre choix parmi une variété de plats délicieux tels que l'omelette Lorraine, le Croque Madame, ou le pain doré à la crème brûlée française. We consider ourselves pretty regular customers and we have never been disappointed. The steaks are consistently good, tonight the roasted salmon and the tart tatin stole the show.

Once again, knocked it out of the park. A place my family and I always return to. The steak frites are killer. The new ratatouille tarte tatin in absolutely delicious. The cocktails are inventive and anyone can find one for their palate. The service was so friendly, personal, and prompt. Cannot recommend enough

We visited for our anniversary. Both the staff and atmosphere were great, and all the employees were kind. Personally, I think their French onion soup and hanger steak are the best around. If you're unsure where to go in Chicago, I recommend this restaurant. The Old Fashioned was also excellent. I highly recommend this place.

We’ve gone there since we first moved to chicago. And - like many LEYE restaurants - the consistency of quality and atmosphere have always stayed high. It’s always a joy to visit. Can get a bit noisy, but other than that, we are huge fans.

Consistently fabulous! Great food, fantastic service from Amy. Value for money and great ambience. I've been coming here since they opened in 1998. It never gets old! No one else can touch them when it comes to their Steak Frites! Just yummy....

Brought my spouse for his birthday. Everything was great and waiter was in good spirits. We got there early for 5:15 pm reservation. They were very accommodating, even pulling out the table to sit down. It was crowded but not too loud. We ordered the mussels and bread. Very generous portions and entree was delicious. We slowly became more and more satisfied until we barely finished dessert. They also brought out a profiterole with a lit candle for his birthday. Only complaint is when I called and asked for candle the man who answered said they had no candles. But it all ended well. I highly recommend Mon Ami Gabi for elegant dining. If you're celebrating a birthday, Bring your own candles just in case.

Always have. Good experience with this restaurant that’s why we dine her at least once a month. Only thing, now I’m looking at my receipt we got overcharged on our drinks. My friend first ordered double Glenfidich and another single serving layer on. The receipt show I got charged 3 times on the last drink for $45. Unfair. Thank you.

Went for my partner's 40th birthday, we had never been before and we had the best night, food, drink and service! Wonderful menu, with Gluten Free options clearly annotated. Our server was very friendly and helpful. All the food was amazing! Would highly recommend!

We requested a special table for my husband birthday and it was not honored and I told them it was her birthday and there was no recognition and yet the table next to us also had a birthday and they were recognized with candles and singing

A wonderful "go to" neighborhood restaurant. The service is reliably professional and friendly. If you've never tried the trout, you should. It could become one of your favorites on the menu. Post-pandemic pricing still shocks a bit when the bill arrives, but no more so than comparable restaurants. An excellent choice for couples who want to enjoy each other's conversation.

Not the same Mon ami. Kitchen was much slower than usual. Mon ami usually has the food flying out of the kitchen. It was a slow night. I also am annoyed with all the cost savings skimping from the restaurants these days. You used to get a baguette with mussels and now you get a small piece and it’s rock hard. And there’s no more shredded carrots. But overall it’s still a regular favorite. The food never disappoints.

We went to Mon Ami Gabi to scope out a venue for our wedding, and we could not have gotten a better server than Liz. She was so wonderful from the moment we sat down, and she made us feel beyond special last night. The food was very tasty, and my partner was obsessed with the skate. The location is gorgeous, and the ambience was just perfect. It was the right level of noise and soft lighting. Overall an enchanting experience, and we would go back gladly and sit at Liz’s section.

My date and I had a fantastic time. The wine tasting and food were excellent. Perfected event for a date. It was one the best first dates we have had.

One of our favorite neighborhood places. The food is always consistently good. The hanger steak in particular was a standout. The service was wonderful, as always. The oysters were a little disappointing this time, but it was a small thing in an otherwise wonderful evening.
