I have not been to Minerva's in a very long time because in my family, this was considered a place to go for a special occasion. This still holds true in my opinion after dining there. It was great to finally go out for a meal and not be disappointed. Seems like lately that is the normal for restaurants. Thank you so much Minerva's for not giving me a reason to complain or feel disappointed. I cannot wait to make plans for another visit. My whole family was there and they all agreed. Recommendations from us would be the mussels appetizer, Cajun Chicken Linguine, Scottish Salmon prepared Oscar and New York strip. Also the salad bar, we all recommend it to add to your meal or have it as your meal. Either way it is a thumbs up.

Pasta wasn’t hot enough for me. Waitress was efficient but not exceptionally friendly. Otherwise a great experience.

2 meals were excellent (filet mignon and chicken pasta dish). Mussels were overdone - I should have said something. Had them 2 weeks before and were wonderful.

My steak was cooked perfectly. The loaded mashed potatoes were not a great texture. Just had bacon bits and cheese-no green onions or sour cream. My Caesar salad had WAY too much dressing. My wine was excellent. My husband said the salad bar was excellent, including the soup. Service was friendly and spot-on with timing. It would haven more enjoyable if the party dining next to us had answered their phone on the first (loud) ring, but no-he looked at his phone ringing for a bit before deciding to take the call…and not leave the table. So we got to hear his half of a 10 minute conversation. Meanwhile my husband gets a work call (his phone was on vibrate) and he jumped up from dinner and went out to the lobby area to take his call. Because that’s the polite thing to do, folks.

We thought the service was the very best part of the visit today. Our server was attentive, kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. We had the steak salad, the salmon salad, the French onion soup, and the Tirimisu. Everything was just fine, but I thought the soup could be more well-rounded as it was a bit sharp and tasted like it was MSG-heavy and from a powdered mix if that makes sense. I have this soup almost everywhere I go and like to compare them. We enjoyed the salads. I did substitute dressings (I asked for the cranberry vinaigrette on the salmon salad), and I loved it. The decor and furniture is set in the mid 1990's and could use an update, but it was serviceable. We did not use the salad bar but walked by, and it seemed very generous for the 17 dollar all-you-can eat price. The restrooms were decently clean. I suggest toilet seat covers, though. There were none available, and these should be available. It made me use paper towels on the seat, which I can bet they did not like.

You can never go wrong with the salad bar here! Only downside was cramped seating. Hard to have an intimate dinner when you can hear all the conversations around you. Service is as excellent and drinks were phenomenal.
