we were 'members' in the OLD club. Maitre-de (has since retired) knew us by name. The space is now very 'modern'; nice, but not the "private club" feel we enjoyed. Food quality is good, but not spectacular. Tough competition for them all over Chicago now. We had friendly, attentive service, and were eating a little early. Small portions, only ala carte sides. (please give people at least some potatoes and/or a veggie with their duck?!). My skirt steak was a nice med-rare as requested. If managing, I would bring in a top chef, expand the menu (add sides to proteins) and REMOVE THE DAMN 20% service charge! NOT gratuity, SERVICE! We will not dine at restaurants any further with this level of add-on, that does not go to the staff. Not good business. Recommend, but only with warning about the 20% added

We had the pre-theater dinner. Wonderful service from Ramon and good choices for the prix fixe meal. And you can’t beat the view!

The Metropolitan was as wonderful as it has ever been. You just couldn’t ask for any better, food, service, view or decor. We had the Theatre pric fix special which was $45.00 I thought that was very reasonable and we both loved the food. I have been coming to the Metropolitan Club for over 40 years. It was so much fun to walk thru the club and relive all my old memories.

Location in Willis Tower is excellent. 67th floor gave us great views of the city. The food was great and the service was outstanding. The reason why I gave it a fair rating overall was the fact that they hit you with a $35 fee because it’s a private club, nowhere did they say this originally. They just hit you with it on the check. I felt like they were saying I was privileged to eat there. I probably won’t be back because of it.

Very chill ambience and not too crowded. Food was perfect and delightful. Service was excellent. The staff really understands how to be “hospitable” and provided outstanding service.

Spectacular view! Foid was good. Service was not great. Slow to check on refilling the drinks. Forgot our appetizer - did not bill for it either. They started bringing out some of the deserts without asking everyone what they wanted. Also, be warned there is a substantial service fee of 18% that clearly states is NOT a tip.

We went on a foggy night so we missed the beautiful views. Food was not so good but i get it that these places are more about the views than the food quality. What really bothered me is the $30 “service charge” that is for “using the premises and does not go towards tip”. This is a real ripoff and it should have been mentioned when making the reservation and on the follow up emails stressing on the rules and how to get there. It’s so wrong to add surprise charges to customers. Won’t be back for that reason. If you want to rip people off, at least be transparent about it.

This was my final day visiting Chicago. I had to do the Metropolitan once again. It's always a treat coming up here. This time due to clouds there wasn't much much of a view. At least however the club ambiance is a winner. Recommend the turkey and ham club sandwich!

The Metropolitan Club is always a must do when I'm in Chicago. A hidden gem up inside the Willis Tower. Everyone here is cordial. Delicious cuisine as always. A winner.

We went for Thanksgiving dinner and had a 3pm rez. We did not know it was the last reservation. There was very little in the chafing dishes when we went to the buffet. The buffet had picked over, and old food. No one was at the carving station so we carved our own turkey and beef. There were many empty tables and our table of 4 were seated at the worst location. The experience was laughable, just like so many other Thanksgiving dinner stories gone wrong.

This was a great experience. The food was delicious. There were 5 in our party and the restaurant had a special “beetlejuice” menu. Two people at our table ordered that fixed price meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. The rest of us ordered from the regular menu. All of our appetizers and entrees were very good. The atmosphere was relaxed and the view was great, would be wonderful if the weather had cooperated. Would love to go again.

Very bad customer service when calling to verify if things was good or not. No answers Was told no event was happening from security downstairs due to floor arrangements. When we got their to ask to pay in advance there was no way to do it. We decided to go after 830 just to see if other people was there and all of sudden things was good.

It was my wife's birthday so I wanted her to have a great night and the Metropolitan did not disappoint! Our food was excellent, our server was engaging, and the ambiance was perfect. Very nice place and our drinks were great too. 5 stars!!

We were running late due to a 3 car accident on the highway. We were coming from Wilmette so about drive in traffic but because of the accident it was 1 1/2 hr drive. Called and spoke to Maggie who was so professional and accommodating. We arrived a the young man that greeted us was smiling and just put us in a good mood especially after being stuck in a traffic jam! Our waiter Ramon was superior! Everything was fantastic, I highly recommend going there!

A little tricky to find - lots of elevator banks to navigate and jumping between floors. but once at the restaurant/bar, it is a great place to enjoy Chicago views and excellent food. service is top notch professional in the restaurant. the ground floor attendants and security guards, not so much. enjoy!

It was a very good view and we thought food prices were decent. However, the bill came out to almost 40% higher than we predicted for two reasons. 1) the menu had out of date pricing 2) there was a 20% charge that our server made sure to emphasize was “not a tip” The food was fine. Would only return for drinks and the view.

The place is super modern. Food was excellent! The view is incredible!!!! We had a great Saturday night! Please note it is a members club for the people who work at Willis tower so it’s not that crowded on weekends.

Just horrible. Not worth it. Restaurant was completely empty, had to wait for a table since none were clean. Every time we ordered a wine it was out. Server had no clue what items were on the menu.

I knew the views of the city would be fabulous, but I impressed by the upbeat decor, menu selections, and exceptional service. The menu is not large, but they are choices for everyone. Plus they have happy hour for drinks!

If I were to describe our meal at The Metropolitan in one word, it would be “disappointing”. I found the restaurant on Open Table, and was looking for something with a view of Chicago, something as a special treat, as we were passing through the Windy City on Amtrak and were at a nearby hotel. First off, as other have written on OT, getting there requires all sort of security checks, go through a metal scanner, and the elevator drops you off on the 66th floor even though the restaurant is on the 67th. Had to hunt around for stairs in what seemed to be a deserted building. When we approached the check in podium, we found no one there and we were looking at a nice bar. It wasn’t until we started looking around did we find the host. We wanted a window view table, but none were available. However, the real restaurant portion of the venue was closed for a private event, and we ended up being seated in the bar area, but could order from either the bar’s menu or the restaurant’s. The place wasn’t very busy, but there was one window that strangely had no table in front of it. When we asked about it, they grabbed another table and brought it over, so at least we had a view. Our entrees seemed to be lacking in seasoning, and overall, the food just wasn’t that impressive for the price - that was then tagged on with a 35% surcharge, that we had to look up to determine it was something to do with Covid. Ended up with probably priciest dinner for two I’ve ever had - and I was completely disappointed with it. We expected this place to have some element of elegance, although I didn’t bring a coat and tie, but I may have well come over with my Levis on as no one was dressed up, and that included the staff. Everything just felt off. And no, I would not return and would not recommend it.

We were received so warmly by the staff, just there to enjoy our first trip to Chicago and celebrate one of our son's success getting a job straight out of college. Wonderful memorable experience. Wait-staff, the managers, all got involved they were tremendous and we did appreciate them. Wonderful young people.
