The bar was a much nicer experience than the main dining room. The main dining room seems a bit "cafeteria" style, which is perfectly fine, but the bar upstairs was quaint and more upscale feeling (relative to the menu prices). The food was very good and the service was excellent. There was even a guitarist playing in the bar for some nice ambient music.

Great food and great service from Daniella (sp?). It would be nice if the guitar player didn’t take such a long break in between sets.

Great experience again at the Meritage! The entire experience was amazing! Julie H service went above and beyond. Can’t wait to go back for another great experience!!! This is now our favorite restaurant that checks off all the boxes for us!!

Our party of 6 had an excellent experience at Meritage. Service was great, menu selections (and specials) were great, food was cooked to perfection and presentation also great.

Delicious food, great service. My husband loves filet mignon and is very picky…he said it was good. Chicken diabolical pasta very good and wedge salad the best.

We had the salmon and the fish tacos, both of which were delicious! For dessert, we shared the crème brûlée… also delicious. We had Steven as our server and he was helpful with recommendations, fast, friendly and attentive. We will definitely return !

Service was fantastic. The food was to die for the prime rib was perfectly prepared. The appetizers were on point, calamari and mussels. Definitely a dinning experience to repeat.

I love Meritage. However, the one thing that needs addressed are the chairs in the main dining room. They are awful and uncomfortable. The stuffing is all gone from them and the seats are sunken !!

A friend and I enjoyed a very peaceful dinner here and both enjoyed our steaks fully! Our server was fantastic and catered to our every need without having to ask for a single thing. I have an onion allergy, and she was very attentive and thorough, even asking the chef if any of the sauces, sides, or toppings contained onions - above and beyond, all because I asked for no onion straws due to my allergy! I've already recommended this gem to friends and family and hope to stop back by any time I'm in the area.

There were many menu choices, the service was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant and included live music. It was my first visit, but it certainly will not be last.

The main dining venue is quaint and where we had our meal. The live music upstairs in the bar and dining room is a treat but is a bit loud if you’re trying to have a conversation. The food is very good with a variety of lighter and heavier fare. The service was excellent. The parking can be a challenge because of other businesses that share the parking lot. Be prepared to possibly have to walk across the railroad tracks for overflow parking.

This place will not disappoint. Maybe the best sweet potato fries that I have ever had. Don’t skip on dessert, they have minis.

Service and ambiance is always great and for the most part, so is the food. Our party had fish, scallops, salads & soup and it was all fantastic. The prime rib however was a disappointment and it was the 2nd time in a row. Avoid that and you can’t go wrong.

As always our experience at the Meritage was delightful! We took some out-of-town friends, who are committed foodies and even they were impressed. I have to give special mention to our waiter. In addition to doing all that a waiter should, he seemed to be enjoying the work.

We always enjoy the Meritage. Last night we ate, for the first time, upstairs. It is not as nice as the lower dining room. The food was good quality and delivered hot. The server was great - even though she had to serve the entire second floor by herself. We will be back, but will ask to be seated on the first floor.

A group of friends met for dinner to celebrate a birthday. Everyone from the person that greeted us to the person that brought our food was great! The food was amazing, and we had a wonderful time!!

It’s a charming restaurant with good ambience. The service was good, not great. Between my date and we each enjoyed about half of what was on our plate. Her twice baked mashed potatoes were edible but she wouldn’t order them again. And my baked half chicken seemed to be twice baked. It was very dry/way over cooked.

I met a friend at Meritage for lunch. We had not see each other for a while so we were looking forward to catching up and at the same time enjoy a great lunch. The food was great. I appreciate that there are options for a "lighter" lunch. The only problem was the noise level. The table next to us seemed to think we wanted to share in their conversation. This is not the first time I have encountered this problem. Last year I met a group of friends for dinner at Meritage and there were a group of men who were loud. But I have to say because of the food and serve I would recommend Meritage to friends and also go again.

First time visit and we LOVED it. The walleye and prime rib were not only delicious, but generous portions. Absolutely great quality and great value. Will DEFINITELY return!

It’s so nice to be able to eat in the bar area where we can relax and talk without having to shout! Meritage has become our go-to for Friday date night. The food is great!
