The food was really good Even though I mentioned were celebrating birthday and I ordered desert, there was no candles. I was disappointed.

What a lovely evening we had, catching up with old friends. Our server was very pleasant and helpful. The late evening light was coming in at a fierce angle, and apparently nothing could be done about that. Once it passed a certain point in time it was better but then too dark for our corner! Odd ambience inside, but the food was great.

We hadn’t eaten in at Marzano’s for a long time and were so happy to go back. The food seemed especially fresh and flavorful, and service was quick and friendly. I noted that the volume was pretty high, at least at the beginning, but that was because there were a couple of large, cheerful, celebratory groups. When one group left it was quieter. It was a Friday night and we were all having fun! I’m proud to have Marzano as our neighborhood restaurant.

Eaten here many times. Probably eaten 2/3 of the menu. Some flavors can be strong, such as the funghi pizza strong smoke and cheese flavor, or the puttanesca pizza more salty than you might want. If you get a salad, you may want dressing on the side or you may get more than you need. But everything high quality. Fried chick peas is a fun and original antipasti. Good desserts too. On a warm night, eating outside is great.

My date and I sat outside along the side of the building. The weather is perfect. I know Marzano didn’t have anything to do with the weather but the way the seating was arranged made it very pleasant. The food was overall delightful. One dish was a little salty. I waiter replaced it with no questions asked. This was my third visit. I’ve always had a good experience and will soon return. I interactions with the entire staff were very pleasant. My date and I had a lot to talk about. We were there for 2 1/2 hours and never felt pressured.

It had been awhile since we ate at Marzano, but I'm super happy we chose to do so for my grandson's birthday. The service was prompt and attentive and just the right level of casual but very helpful. And, most importantly, the food was terrific. My 90-years old mother-in-law loudly declared it was the best meal she's ever had. It was a super positive experience.

Tried a smaller local place this time and it didn’t work out. Pasta was Barilla and overcooked. Once something is burned, the entire meal is burned. It shouldn’t have left the kitchen like that. Meatballs were 200% cooked but the sauce was good and it ended up being the best thing I had there.

We eat here a lot but service is getting very slow and uneven. Bar is always backed up, last night we waited over 45 minutes for our drinks and over 1 hour for our first course. Tables seated after us were served before us.

Had the brussel sprouts app and amatriciana pizza + sausage - wines selected by the knowledgeable waitstaff - all was delicious!! Highly recommend ❤️

Friday night was busy. We had a reservation for 8:30 however it took a while for the previous party to leave. The food was amazing. Loved the Brussels sprouts and the fennel salad. The pizzas were perfect - even though we were thinking broccoli pizza may not be to everyone’s liking, we all enjoyed it. The pear bourbon and pecan dessert also hit its mark.

Good food, and great service. Our server was outstanding. It is also an cozy inviting restaurant in an area of Oakland I have never been before. Glad I picked it for a work outing.

We had a delightful time at one of Marzano's special wine tasting events. The wines were delicious and interesting, with generous pours, and there was a lot more (delicious!) food than we expected. An incredible deal! Also the set up was casual and welcoming so we had the option to sit with others if we wanted to - we met some great people, and it made us want to do it again soon. Thank you so much for being here, Marzano!

A great neighborhood place out of downtown...with great food and ambience. A tribute to the resilience of The Town that this place still rewards its guests with wonderful food and ambience. Always a treat. Pizza is first rate and don't miss the chicken arrabiata!!

A neighborhood gem! The pizzas are perfection and the food, wine & cocktail offerings are seasonal and delicious. Marzano is great for families or a date night. The team is professional, yet fun and friendly. This place is reliable for a good dining experience.

The ambience is warm and welcoming. I love the octopus appetizer and enjoyed the crispy chickpeas sewer delicious. One the best pizzas ever with sausage a perfect crust for my taste more New York Italian style. Wonderful and delicious cocktails. The soft serve with select your topping was wonderful. You can’t go wrong at Mariano’s

Marzano is a wonderful restaurant with reliably delicious Italian dishes and great pizza. While the menu is not vast, there are plenty of excellent options that never fail to please. A nice wine list and good cocktails add to the experience and the fact that we are supporting a woman and black owned business makes it all the better.

This is a great neighborhood dining spot. We sat outside, and I think it's one of the best outside dining areas around. The service was great, as was the food. I feel so lucky to have this restaurant in my neighborhood, especially given the increased crime. If you want to eat in a great spot with great food and service, go here..we want to keep this place!

Outstanding evening @ Marzano. A bit of a wait because they were super busy. But we were kept informed during our wait, seated as quickly as possible. the right level of attention from the wait staff. Fantastic food. The pot de creme to finish our meal was amazing. will have us back soon.

We don't usually go out for Valentine's Day, but gave it a try this year. And we had a wonderful time at Marzano's. They had the place decorated and the staff were all wearing RED to celebrate. It made the restaurant seem more special than usual. When you go to a favorite restaurant, you want to be able to enjoy the food you like. The team at Marzano's were smart to have their usual menu with some "added" items on this particular evening. We were able to get our favorites along with the special holiday salad made with crab. Everything was delicious! And we were out in the dry covered parklet while the rain was coming down. The heat lamps were working well and there were blankets for anyone who was feeling a chill. Everyone was smiling. It was an enjoyable evening!

Hadn't been to Marzano in years, but have always liked it. Can't remember why it has been so long, probably the Covid times played a role. Anyway, it was as good as I remembered. Polenta, awesome, pasta, awesome, soft serve ice cream, AWESOME.

A friend was in town and we came to share a meal and to catch up with one another. The staff were friendly. The food was excellent. I would definitely recommend the wood fired rigatoni, the octopus, and the brussel sprouts.
