Passionnés par les produits frais du marché et les techniques traditionnelles de la cuisine française, Florent et Amelia Marneau ont ouvert ce bistro français moderne au cœur du comté d'Orange. Durant plusieurs décennies, le couple a travaillé séparément dans quelques-unes des meilleures cuisines de France et du comté d'Orange. C'est tout naturellement qu'ils se sont associés pour créer le Marché Moderne et mettre en commun leurs compétences en tant que restaurateurs indépendants. Situé au troisième étage de l'espace The Penthouse, dans le centre commercial South Coast Plaza, en face de Nordstrom, ce bistro français contemporain est encensé par la critique depuis son ouverture en 2007.

                                                                      Always a pleasure … from the exceptionally delicious onion tarte and hamachi appetizers to our entrees of dover sole and filet, the entire dinner was incredible! Our service was exceptional as well. Dane is always the best of the best!!!

                                                                      Excellent across all categories! Ambience, service, quality, presentation, wine selection and cocktails. Alan was exceptional! Friendly, casual yet very careful and attentive. Only suggestion is for greeting staff to acknowledge repeat customers so appreciate if they could work on that. Otherwise, great experience!

                                                                      We really enjoyed the tasting menu. Everything was delicious and prepared perfectly. The chef mixes flavors and textures exceptionally well and although pricey, it was certainly worth the adventure.

                                                                      Our experience at Marchè Moderne for our 23rd wedding anniversary was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we entered, we were greeted warmly and made to feel incredibly special, with a gentle reminder that we were celebrating our anniversary. Our escort to our booth, complete with a charming sign wishing us a happy anniversary, set the stage for an unforgettable evening. Our server was exceptional, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our meal. We began with a tantalizing charcuterie board that set the perfect tone for the culinary journey ahead. My choice, the Plat de Cote mousseline De Pomme Terre, exceeded all expectations with its exquisite flavors and textures. Equally impressive was my husband's selection, the Dans un Sautoir Filet Au Poivre, which left him thoroughly satisfied. To conclude our celebration, we savored a heavenly flourless chocolate soufflé, adorned with a heartfelt "happy anniversary" inscription. Every aspect of our dining experience, from the attentive water service to the gracious farewell as we departed, made us feel like cherished guests in their home. We wholeheartedly recommend Marchè Moderne to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience. For those planning a visit, we suggest starting with L’OS A MOELLE and a light salad, before delving into the delectable entrées. And do not miss out on the opportunity to indulge in their divine desserts—they truly provide the perfect ending to a remarkable meal.
