Mali serves excellent, and well presented dishes. With a true taste of Thai cuisine in the neighborhood there is little incentive to go elsewhere for authentic dishes. The menu is ample with explanations on ingredients and spice levels that are a great help. The staff are helpful, hospitable, and quick to assist. For a great, informal and delicious evening out, there's not a better choice for Thai.

Our party of 6 loved the drinks & good. Menu variety is fantastic something for everyone. Food quality was outstanding.

We have been going here since it opened in 1995. It’s still our son’s favorite restaurant of all time and one of our favorites. (He called it “ma-wee” when he was little.) We love seeing Joy when she is able to escape from the kitchen for a moment. The food is always delicious (mu shu rolls and scallop tempura rolls are our faves). The atmosphere is chill, and the lychee martinis are perfection.

Disappointing portion size for the $$$. This has consistently gone down, unfortunately. Even the rice to accompany dishes like curry comes in a tiny bowl and they charge you for a second. How expensive is rice? If they are going to continue to hike up prices, portions need to reflect it.

We've been meaning to try Mali for years now but somehow have not gone until this week (probably due to the large number of well regarded Thai restaurants in our area). Our first visit was a great one -- both the service and the food. I got the duck curry and was not disappointed. The curry sauce was very tasty with a perfect amount of spice/heat and the duck was cooked appropriately for this dish. I've had this dish at other places and the duck can tend to be overcooked and dry. Not at Mali though, they did it right! Recommend seating in the main/front dining room. We sat in the back (the front was full) and while the back area is fine, it seems more like an annex compared to the main dining room.
