I'm From out of town and I've only dined at the old location /concept until we came into town this week and heard the location and menu had changed. The old location used to be a special occasion restaurant with the ambiance and experience to go with it. Now it's similar to a Charleston’s. Not a special occasion place anymore. It's too bad. The food was good though! Just don't expect the old menu.

One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Ever. It was doomed to perfection. The restaurant is very dark but beautiful.

We had a 7:30 reservation and didn't seated at our table until after 8:00. We did find a place at the bar to sit for a bit and order a drink. Everything tool a long time. It was 10:00 before we were done and leaving. Toward the end of the night the service was better as they weren't as busy. The food was good. It was VERY loud and hard to hear each other and the wait staff.

the new restaurant is very nice but very loud. it was nice to have a private room for 6 and able to close the door. service was excellent by all, led by Grace who was fantastic. no upselling, and even recommended a $69 bottle of wine which was very good. thanks Grace!

I couldn't give Mahogany 5 stars because of the noise level and feeling of being seated in an IHOP. The steak was delicious and tender, and the cocktails were tasty. To navigate to the restrooms, one must walk through the wait staff and service area. The old location was much cozier and inviting. The design of the new location needs a lot to be desired. We will go back for the food--not for the atmosphere.

The whole experience was exceptional from the time we entered until we left. The staff was wonderful and the food was excellent in every stage. I highly recommend this place for any occasion.

Food served hot and oh so delicious. Our server was delightful and very informative and answered our questions very well. We were impressed with their new location. You can NEVER go wrong with dining at Mahogany Prime Steaks.

Our first visit to the new location—not as intimate. Food quality was exceptional as always. Our waitress was a bit over-bearing but the food runner provided outstanding service.

We celebrated my 90 year old parent’s 70th wedding anniversary. The food was excellent and we love the new location! The vibe is even better than the prior location. The wait staff is always top notch and they always go above and beyond. We love Mahogany!

QUICK REVIEW: After 20+ years, Mahogany is still our Go-To Steakhouse in Omaha. Great service, nice new digs, outstanding food. Highly Recommend. Yes, we will go back. LONGER REVIEW: Over the years, we have been to Mahogany 30+ times. Both for business and social occasions. Never disappoints. We travel and entertain extensively, and Mahogany still is one of the Top 10 Steakhouses in the country. SERVICE: Seated promptly in a booth (by request) at reservation time. They moved their location recently, and we are glad they kept the "big booths" along with other table options. Marzia and Kim - our main servers - were outstanding. There when you needed them and a great attitude to boot. Nice job! WINE and COCKTAILS: We were celebrating our anniversary and started with the Strawberry martini and Old Fashioned. Two reds by the glass with our meals. Wines by the glass had good choices, many above 90 points - we checked. The wine and whiskey lists are excellent for a Midwest Steakhouse. FOOD: Wedge Salad to share, Bone in Ribeye and Petite Filet. Baked potato on the side. All perfectly cooked - very, very tasty. A grasshopper for dessert! Nicely done. OVERALL: Can't go wrong, we have never had a bad experience ever at Mahogany. Yes, it ranks up there with top Vegas, Chicago and New York chophouses. Highly Recommend. Get reservations, on the weekends it gets busy. Yes, we will be back.

The food in the atmosphere were terrific. We really enjoyed being in the new location. The service was really poor. It was Sunday night at 7 PM, the restaurant was not busy nor were the private rooms and it took almost 35 minutes to get our meal once we were done with our salad!

We went to celebrate my husbands birthday. We started with a drink at the bar where they (Sean and Jaron) were very welcoming and quick to serve us. Kim was our server and she was fantastic. Knowledgeable about the food and gave great recommendations. She was very friendly and professional. The Manager (Jonathan) came over and checked in on us and he was very polite and helpful when our reservations were at 5:15 and at 5:30 I asked if he would check with the hostess to make sure they didn’t forget about us :) they gave us a little box of chocolates for my husbands birthday. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back!

he service was good. The Steak was good a little overspiced. The Red Snapper wasn't good. It is way to firm which is not snapper and the limited amount of sauce was poor presentation. The ambience wasn't high end as you already know. I wouldn't consider Mahogany's the top steak restaurant in town that is for sure. New place should be a show ... you have a long ways to go. Pat

The new location of Mahogany is outstanding. Much more spacious and getting rid of the uncomfortable booths a marked improvement. Same high standard for food and service.

We always come to Mahogany for anniversary dinners, and we are always talking about how much we enjoy it. Plus we had the opportunity to be at the new Omaha location, which does not disappoint. Yes, I highly recommend!

Mahogany used to be our favorite spot. Terrific service, fantastic food, incredible atmosphere. New restaurant is not what we are used to from Mahogahy. Service was awful, we waited over two hours for food. Was not offered compensation. Food was good but lacked the “pop” it used to have. At the prices they charge, the details are important, and the food tonight lacked that attention. Atmosphere was noisy and overall lacked the feeling of class and elegance of the previous restaurant. The building is new, hopefully service will improve. Overall, very disappointing.

The new Mahogany is fabulous! Stunning beauty, much quieter than the old Mahogany. The food was superb and the service top notch. We really enjoyed the evening. The design of the restaurant is much improved with the kitchen out of sight from the diners. Beautiful decor as well. Congratulations to the owner for a great addition to Omaha fine dining!

We have been to the old mahogany many times. Yesterday was the first day at the new building. The good previously was amazing but last night it just tasted average. We will try again in the next few months but if it is the same as last night then we won’t be back.
