The music was debilitatingly loud, we were shouting trying to converse and the server couldn’t hear what we were trying to say. I wish we were exaggerating. We asked to move outside which they accommodated right away. They took our order outside and never came back to check on us, and the pork one of us ordered wasn’t cooked completely through. Someone else brought us our bill and removed the pork when we talked to them about it. We really wanted to like the place, the design was nice and it seemed like a cool place, but it was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had, and given the vast amount of trendy places around to try we won’t be back.

This was my first time at Madison. We had a reservation of 6 (3 couples). I don’t know who thought it was a good idea to hire a saxophonist to play in that small of a space, but it made it impossible to have any conversation with our friends. It was disappointing because it was the first time I was meeting some people and I feel like the saxophonist really put a damp towel on our social experience. Everything else was great. The food was spectacular. We had the pesto pasta that was probably some of the best pesto I’ve ever tasted. The cherry tomato toast was really good too. We’ll probably go back but definitely not on Saxxy Sunday. It was kind of comical. The saxophonist wouldn’t be playing and then I’d try to say something to someone across the table and he’d start playing and we couldn’t hear a single thing we were saying. It was pretty funny and frustrating at the same time. 😂😂

Drinks were good! However, place is not maintained. Spiders webs were in the corners of the walls where people were seated, and there was water damage to some of the walls and paint was peeling. Also, some of the benches has holes and were covered with pad patch jobs. Food was subpar and under seasoned. For example the burger and shrimp ceviche. I ordered the lobster ravioli and it was delivered warm instead of hot. They had a live jazz band which was nice however the loudness made it hard to have a conversation. For drinks, this spot is amazing! The food is not! I recommend going somewhere else

This was seriously one of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. The craft cocktails were divine (especially the ritual surrounding the Queen of Crowns), our dinners were delicious, and the live jazz quintet on Tuesday night was super. The setting is chic and cool. Only issues (that really didn't affect the overall experience) were that service was tough when the band was playing because it was so loud and that we had to park many blocks away. I was glad I hadn't worn uncomfortable shoes for the long walk over! But days later, we're still talking about that night as one of our favorites ever!

Host, food runners, and server were amazing! The food had problems like not cooked enough, and not prepared as requested.

The food, drinks and service were good, but the prices were just outrageous for what we got. My drink was maybe 4 oz, and cost $16.

We were a group of 6 and were seated next to the band (very nice music) but honestly it was so loud, we could not hear each other speak at all! It would be great to be seated farther away, or reduce the noise volume.

I hate writing this because I used to love this restaurant, but the past two times I have gone, the food was subpar for the extreme prices and the service is HORRIBLE. Literally took us 20 minutes just for some one to come get the drink order. Longer for appetizers, then food, and I had to call over a busser to get the check because I didn't see the waiter for 30 minutes or more. As someone who worked in food service for 8 years, this was almost embarrassing. I won't be back!

Mother’s Day early dinner w/ my wife, son and his girlfriend. Zucchini fries w/ spicy marinara sauce (not too spicy w/ spice at the end), branzino (fish cooked well w/ lemony sauce, and pork chop on top of veggies w/ balsamic vinegar sauce. Very hood. Nice decor ambiance and live music. Nice day!!
