Farm-to-table and authentic New Orleans cuisine come together in the French Quarter at M bistro, where the chefs take an indigenous approach to the preparation of meats, seafood and produce from farmers in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Alabama. Three velvet-draped semi-private “Cheater’s Booths” and a private Wine Room offer additional venues for a special meal.

Our restaurant and lounge are conveniently located on the third floor lobby level of The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans.

Food was very good. Understaffed. Didn’t offer us a cocktail before taking our order. Had to flag our waitress down to get a refill on water. Plopped the check down on our table without asking about desert. We’ll go again because the food was great, and hope for better service.

Absolutely excellent dining experience. You have the luxury of Jeremy Davenport and company playing live within earshot in the Davenport lounge. The food is incredible and the service just as wonderful. Kurt provided wonderful recommendations and professionalism. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience because of the staff. Terriel, Kurt Nohemi, and the restaurant manager all made it an amazing experience. we started with of course, a cocktail from the bar and a glass of champagne. For appetizers, we had the crab beignets and the fresh local oysters. Our course was the crab dip with pita, and also the gumbo which was fabulous. One of our guest joined us a little bit late and he had the oysters Rockefeller, which he said were amazing. He also had the wedge salad. For the entrée, we had two of the lobster carbonara and also the snapper. Of course you cannot walk out of any restaurant without having dessert. we had several of the ice creams in addition to the crème brûlée the beignets and the tremendous lemon meringue cheesecake.

As guests of the Ritz Carlton, we were looking forward to our Saturday night reservations after a long day at Jazzfest. Upon arrival at 8:30pm we were informed that due to short staffing our seating would we significantly delayed and did we want to stay? Being late and hungry, we declined but found a table in the hallway outside the lounge with availability. As we had no idea where to eat, we chose to stay and enjoyed a delicious salad, shrimp cocktail and waygu sliders (we got off cheap). Disappointed we did not get the chance to enjoy a full dinner.

Absolutely better than the old buffet style. Love the family style. We had 2 people out of 8 that don’t eat seafood & they were ably to enjoy everything else.

Our experience was perfect! We celebrated a 60th birthday at the Ritz. We couldn’t have asked for better celebration. Thank you for making this night so memorable. The food, cocktails, wine and dessert were all superb. 😊 And the service was A+.

Very convenient when staying at the Ritz Carlton. To start it was GREAT to have Jeremy Davenport playing in the lounge that the restaurant is…basically an extension of. ONLY downside is that you are so close to the great jazz that is was a bit loud for table conversation. But make no mistake. This music is a TREAT! The food presentation was fantastic and the quality very good. The downside was the service. Although pleasant, just not sharp. 3 times dishes were served and we had no remaining silverware to eat with. I had to clean off my sons fork twice as I had none and server wasn’t to be seen for 10 mins or so. Never got a spoon for ice cream desert and he dropped off my cappuccino without ANY type of sweetener or sugar cubes. I would return. Lastly, cocktails and wine reasonably priced.

Divers scallops and drinks were delicious. Our server was attentive, and allowed us all enough space to continue our conversation except when it came time to pay, it slowed down more. Overall I would definitely dine here again.

I thought the food was not as good as it has been in my past visits. They mixed up the order concerning the vegetables but did offer to change it. We were hungry so we declined the offer. I made mention of a Birthday on the reservation but nothing happened, to my disappointment.

The food, ambience, and music was great. Our server, not so much. Didn’t check on us often, we ordered a bottle of wine off the reserve list, she poured the male before female and never poured another glass for us. Left our waters empty for extended periods. We had to ask the hostess to get our check at the end. She was so lazy she wouldn’t even walk around the table to fill water, I had to keep asking her to walk around the table where I could hear her, even to pay the bill, she stuck her hand out so she didn’t have to walk around to get it. Unfortunate for our visit to the Ritz.

The service and food quality certainly were up to full expectations for a five star venue. Had an excellent meal and the service professionals were very certainly that. Enjoyed the whole experience. Thanks to the full staff.

Duygu was our server and she was unprofessional, slow, and focused more on flirting with the table of men next to ours than being attentive to others… We stay at the Ritz every year and have for a long time. We have never witnessed such poor service. It is shocking since everything else holds to the high expectations you have when staying there.

There were so many areas where service was severely lacking here. This is a Ritz Carlton and the ambiance and prices matched but I felt like I could have been dining at a Shoneys. First I had requested a booth but we were shown to a table,which was fine,but there was no proper greeting or mention of my request. Next our waiter had absolutely NO knowledge of the menu. Our water glasses went unfilled and one of the waitstaff kept bumping into the back of my chair as he was rushing around. We are local and were going to a show at the Saenger so it was convenient but there are so many fantastic restaurants in New Orleans where you get proper 5 star service. Ritz Carlton needs to do better if we are to return. Maybe next time we’ll just eat at Davenport lounge as the food seems to be the same

The ambience and service is excellent. We ate there for dinner and lunch. The dinner selections were good but the food was bland. It was good but it wasn’t great. We ate there for lunch and it was excellent. The fish tacos and the bisque was very good And my friend had the hamburger she said was excellent. For dinner I had the stuffed pork chop and it was cooked good but it didn’t have much flavor. My friend had the steak and shrimp and the shrimp was good but the steak also had no flavor. The brussels sprouts from the appetizer menu were to die for. Absolutely must order the brussels sprouts. I will go back and try to eat dinner there again maybe it was just an off night. Overall, this is a nice restaurant.

Neither of us were happy with our meal. The gumbo was mushy and not hot, and the rice in the paella was undercooked. We came back later and ordered beignets in the Davenport lounge and they were fabulous.

Incredible experience for New Years! The staff was fabulous, the food was totally on point with temperature, taste and explosion of creativity! Would highly recommend!! The live music of Jeremy Davenport is always wonderful but this made our new years classy! I felt like a queen!

We bought tickets for the New Year’s Eve dinner. We had terrible service. Our reservations were at 8:30 by the time we got our third course it was already after 11 PM. They actually missed us for one of the courses and we had to remind them that we didn’t get it, the food we did was amazing but the service was horrible. We ended up leaving before the dinner was completed.

My boyfriend and I spent our New Year’s evening with four other friends and we had an amazing evening. The food was incredible as well as the wine pairing. It was very beautifully done, and they did an amazing job. I highly recommend eating there.

Ambiance of the dining area was great. We were there for brunch and ordered the chicken and waffle, avocado toast, and a pancake. All the food was prepared perfect and delicious. Our server, Sarah, was attentive and took care of our table. We will make it a point to return whenever we come back to New Orleans.

Christmas Day 4-course menu at 5 pm. $120 per person. Live music promised, but person only played for 30 minutes. There were two servers for entire restaurant. Service was very, very slow. It took almost ten minutes to get someone to come and give me check after everyone literally stood up after meal. On the positive side, the food was excellent. Wish they had their act together since it has much potential.

We had the best Revelion dinner! The service was amazing, the venue was beautiful and the food was delicious! We had our 2 year old with us and all of the staff was so kind and friendly with her. Thanks Ritz Carlton for a memorable meal!

The only issue was when our server brought us out a surprise plate of beignets to welcome us. We assumed they were free as we didn’t request them, but we were charged for them. Hopefully this was a simple oversight and not intentional.

Everything was great such as the food, atmosphere, easy parking and the entertainment. What really was crappy was the host who sat us at a table for two adjacent a huge column blocking the stage and practically the whole venue. This was my anniversary and on a Thursday night which the restaurant was not busy. I inquired about another table and he said the option was to sit in a dark area in back of the room. I asked him for a certain table and he responded with "that table is reserved." I continued on with "his" first pick for us. A few minutes passed and another couple had a choice of two tables that were great without hesitation. When I asked the host what was the deal with that, he told me (with no respect) to just sit where I initially wanted which was "reserved." I finished my dinner an hour and half later and only two tables showed up with at least 15 tables empty. I have worked in the service industry for a long time and usually let things go because I understand how things can go. This guy was a jerk for no reason. If anyone from M Bistro reads this, please feel free to reach out so I can further in detail about this one incident during my dining.

The gingerbread experience was a bust. For the amount of money, the houses should have been pre assembled. I expected more from the Ritz.

Food was spectacular. The band was wonderful and ambience overall was worth it. The service was exceptionally slow. There were other tables visibly upset by the slowness and spoke to the manager about it, who then reprimanded the server on the floor. It was awkward. And then they continued to talk about it, actually visibly arguing. The manager should have been checking in more on the tables, as there were less than 10 in the whole restaurant. It also took 30 minutes for our drinks and we were rushed after that to make the show, which we almost missed. It was below the level you'd expect at the Ritz Carlton. Especially because it was small things that made it not as wonderful. I would go back, but only when you have more time and aren't worried about the speed and quality of service.
