When you come to Opheem, you get an insight into the inner workings of my mind. We’re striving to push the boundaries with Indian flavours, but with cooking techniques from all over the world, some traditional, and some very modern. At Opheem, I’ll be using the same paints as I’ve always done, to create a very different picture, on a very, very different canvas. Why? Because to evolve and adapt is what makes us human, and cooking is what sets us apart from the animals.

Set in a gorgeous Grade II-listed Georgian villa, the decor is bright and modern but respects the building’s elegance and heritage.The food, too, respects classical tradition, but is a contemporary take on British cuisine - combining influences from around the world in dishes based on fabulous impeccably sourced seasonal ingredients.Enjoy an aperitif in one of the elegant lounges in the older part of the building before moving on to the sleek restaurant with its blonde wood beams, exposed stone walls and bi-fold doors opening onto the garden.The knowledge and experience of Head Chef Luke Tipping shows through in the assured, confident nature of the cooking – and he has the skill to know when to hold back. Dishes are balanced and pure, with subtle modern touches and a pleasing clarity of flavour; be sure to try the signature tapenade bread rolls and delicious soufflés. Service is enthusiastic and brims with personality.

Solanche, Richard and the rest of The Royal Oak team are extremely proud to offer Michelin starred dining in rural Warwickshire, on the edge of the Cotswolds.Our food offering is what we like to call ‘proper country food’- wild meats and foraged ingredients from our home area. Our aim is simple: we want to tell the story of our community, the producers themselves and how we’ve utilised their ingredients.Sometimes a dish will be on the menu for a six week period, fully celebrating the early or late season. Conversely a dish may be fleeting - a week, a service or even just for a single table of regulars - a micro-seasonal snapshot, which gets us thinking and talking with our local community of producers about next years planting or hunting, allowing us to dream about revisiting an idea and developing it further the following year.

La carte des boissons affiche fièrement des bières et cidres locaux ainsi qu'une sélection éclectique de vins pour tous les budgets. Pour profiter au mieux de votre visite au Charlton, 9 chambres confortables avec salle de bains privative sont à votre disposition. Le menu du petit-déjeuner satisfera tous les goûts, avec des œufs de la Clun Valley, du bacon fumé localement, les célèbres saucisses de Ludlow et le plus raffiné des saumons fumés. Le restaurant, géré indépendamment par Cédric et Amy Bosi, garantit un accueil chaleureux. Il accepte en outre les enfants en leur proposant un menu adapté et les amis des chiens pourront également se faire accompagner de leur compère à 4 pattes s'il est bien élevé. Les belles promenades autour de Ludlow et de la réserve Whitcliffe Common étant courantes, les bottes boueuses sont également de mise dans le pub.
