My medium filet was over cooked, the asparagus was old, and the crab Oscar was too sweet! Very disappointed. My companions meals (prime-rib) were good. We will try again. No firm decision until we try 3X. Our waitstaff was excellent!

We go to Lock Stock and Barrel for our birthdays and anniversary every year. We would love to go more often but have to watch our budget. They have great food and we love their mud pie. The service is always fantastic and the restaurant is clean and tidy. Great salad bar.

We had the most outstanding server. So understanding When we had half party running late. She was flawless with her service in that she filled our drinks often and came and went with ease.

My 14oz ribeye was pretty close to the same size as my parents' 8 oz prime rib. It was also really thin. Hard to get med rare on that thin of a cut. That said, it tasted pretty good. My problem with steak houses in general is that for a $55 steak, I could make it a lot better at home. It was mother's Day though and everyone had a good time and enjoyed their meal, so I'm happy. The salad bar is great. Rare to find a good salad bar these days.

We were there celebrating my Hubbies 69th Birthday. He had the Prime Rib and said it was the best he's ever had. I had the Rack of Lamb which was not only a large serving but was cooked to perfection. Wait staff were friendly and checked back with us several times to see if we needed anything. Highly recommend Lock, Stock & Barrel.

1/2 food came out cold (steak and Potato) sent back came out slightly better. Asked for another drink. The drink came out after completing meal. Not a great experience and would not recommend.

Every course was great from the salad bar or Caesar salad and bread (warm and delicious), all the way through dessert fabulous. We enjoyed shrimp, filet Oscar, rack of lamb and lobster all great and delicious.

Sadly we have been coming to Lock Stock and Barrel for years. They were out of prime rib last night it was about 8 pm. The salad bar needed to be refilled which we had to wait and find someone. I finally just took what they had. The staff was helpful but maybe understaffed that they couldn’t keep up. I feel like their food isn’t up to par like it use to be. Our waitress was so apologetic which was so nice. For the money it isn’t like it use to be.

Been to Lock Stock and Barrel many times. Tonight came early before a concert and were seated right at opening. Always awesome and friendly staff! The special, a ribeye with mushroom sauce was yuck. The sauce was sweet and overpowered the taste of steak. The meat needed seasoned. My wife ordered fillet Oscar which is her usual and it wasn’t cooked or seasoned very well. 3 of tonight and 3 cold meals, not very well put together, tasteless.

All of our meals came from the kitchen cold. The king crab was old, soft hollow shells, and had a fishy taste. The baked potatoes were under cooked and cold. The salad bar was fabulous! I think the kitchen was having a bad night.

We enjoyed taking our friends to LS & B for their first experience there. The food was exceptional, especially the cedar plank salmon. Michael provided us with excellent service, served with a side of appropriate humor and fun! It’s hard for us to find a place with a low noise level. It wasn’t too bad last night. We were able to converse comfortably while there. Thank you for our evening of another wonderful dining experience at LS & B! Barb Tomasini and Bill Jones

We sat upstairs and it was cozy and quiet- perfect for a visit with Friends over an excellent meal. Amazing value on an excellent Walla Walla cab, the steak Oscar was incredible. Service was outstanding! If you are looking for a classic steakhouse experience- old school Boise, book a table at Lock, Stock and Barrel- you will have a great meal and a great time!

I booked a reservation a few days ahead for 5 adults and 1 baby and requested a highchair in my reservation. We were crammed into a table for 4 people. My ribeye steak was way too fatty even for the cut and was quite a bit undercooked. I love LSB and has been the only time I have ever been disappointed in going there regularly for over 30 years.

The appetizers were excellent!!! Had scallops and steamers. Salad bar was nice and very fresh. Unfortunately the rib eye steak was very very bland no flavor and tough. We wet so excited after appetizers but the main dish was a huge disappointment

Laura was a wonderful waitress who allowed us to eat our meal in peace. We recommend having a table on the 2nd floor as it is much quieter. Food is perfect as always.

The table for our anniversary dinner was said to be cozy and romantic… it was a tiny dirty table next to a party of 12 including 5 loud kids. The prime rib was well done and the 1/2lb Bering Sea King crab was way less than half a pound and the “Famous” salad bar was little more than old iceberg lettuce and a handful of toppings. Old school Sizzler had a way better salad bar. The carpet was old and stained and we needed our salt shaker replaced because the salt was so old it wouldn’t shake out. Way overpriced! Save your money and celebrate somewhere better, I’d recommend fast food.

We were hoping for an excellent dinner, but it was very ordinary. I had a salmon special for Valentines Day, and my husband had prime rib. His baked potato was cold, the server brought him a hot one in exchange. The server was excellent and very friendly and seemed to really enjoy her job.

I made reservations for 2 at 5:45 and we got seated right a way. However, our waitress was over loaded on tables and it took time to gets our drinks. She offered some hot rolls twice, and those didn't come until I asked while we were eating our dinner. My husband ordered the Rib Eye, which he thought was tough and gristly. I had the Fillet and it was excellent as usual. We eat at Lock Stock often and we enjoy the atmosphere and the food. This time was as good as expected.

I have been multiple times and the food has always been good. I love that they have a salad bar and the apps and side dishes are yummy. I booked a reservation for a birthday dinner. Two steaks, both the barrel steak, came out with a lot of gristle and were pretty much inedible. One was ordered med rare but was very rare. We didn’t even eat it. They asked if we wanted a re-fire but at that point we were just over it. Someone ordered the salmon and said it was very good. The prime rib dishes were also good. Service was very slow. We were seated right away but we were still there for two hours. Our server was very nice but he was clearly very busy and handling a lot of tables. Sadly after this trip, I don’t know if we will return. For the amount we spent, and having two inedible steaks, it just wasn’t worth it.

Excellent service. I had no idea the space was that large. We ordered the 20oz Prime Ribe, baked pot., and scallops. Everything was cooked to perfection. Be sure to try the sourdough rolls!

Walk into a nicely decorated restaurant only to get served 2 star quality food for a 5 star price. I’ve cooked better steaks in my college dorm. The service members were a little uncoordinated. We were greeted by our waitress as usual, another waitress gave us our waters, another waitress visited our table for a reason but she got the wrong table, another waitress cleared our bread and salad plates. At first I thought they were being attentive then it felt overwhelming and confusing and then it became quite bothersome. There were tables being moves around. The seating is congested, no feeling of privacy. I was sat in a low back booth and I was backed up against another patron, if I so much as tilted my head back too far I would have bonked our noggins together. Neither of our steaks were made to our specifications. One medium well the other medium rare. Both were well done and more well done. Anchovies were poor quality, potato was old and hard. To be honest we will not be coming back.
