Chose this restaurant as a recommendation for my mom's birthday. They did allow us to change seating which we appreciated. The food was delicious. Definitely try the apple cake and lamb meatballs. My only disappointment was the lamb chops were a tad too salty and they brought my mom dessert and said it was on the house for her birthday, but it wasn't....it was definitely on the bill. We did enjoy our experience for the most part.

Good, tasty food, but very simple. The dessert was mediocre the foccacia excellent, the specialty ravioli child have used more taste, a little blah. Prices were high, especially the wine, and not supported by the quality or portions. Very hip and nice decor, which may be the principle selling point.

Our waiter Israel was fantastic. Very friendly and attentive. Excellent in explaining everything and checking in to make sure we all had what we needed. The service woman Liz was also extremely attentive and friendly. Always making sure we had enough water and clearing any plates out. She was a pleasure to interact with. The food runners also did a great job. Friendly, courteous and attentive as were the hostesses as well. And the food was delicious. From the appetizers all the way through dessert. It was exquisite. We will definitely be back.

Took more than a half hour after the reservation time to be seated. It was clear if I hadn’t checked back with the hostess, it wasn’t going to be addressed. No apology for the wait.

The overall experience was just average. Portion of meal never made it to table, despite 2nd request, but real problem is that it is just an average dining experience by NYC standards.

It was an unfortunate experience I had during my recent visit to this restaurant. The food was good. Unfortunately, the receptionist at the front desk on duty displayed rude behavior and made inappropriate comments and actions that I found offensive and racially insensitive. The receptionist exhibited inappropriate behavior by abruptly pushing aside all my belongings to my partner’s seat to make room for other patrons, solely based on their racial background. This behavior was not only disrespectful but also created an uncomfortable and discriminatory atmosphere. As a customer, I believe it's crucial to address and rectify such incidents promptly. I believe it's crucial to treat every customers equally and to maintain a welcoming environment for all patrons from various ethnicities. I hope that steps will be taken to ensure such incidents do not happen in the future. Thank you.

We both ordered PUMPKIN RAVIOLI brown butter, sage, amaretti The meal was perfect with Italian cookies with Cappuccino..the service and lunch was excellent!

Wonderful meal! Pumpkin ravioli with all the flavors of fall - can’t be beat. Cocktails and dessert were also outstanding as was our waiter.

My wife and I were there for my birthday. We had chicken, ravioli, and appetizer meatballs, and they were all fantastic. After the meal, they brought tiramisu with a candle on top, which was a lovely gesture. The atmosphere and music were great, and the staff were friendly. My wife was happy because she saw Robert De Niro.

swordfish was said to be a thick piece but alas was not. additionally, the chef had a very heavy hand with the salt. bar was good, server was knowledgeable and offered tastes of 2-3 wines to help us decide. overall, can aspire toward better food.

Always above and beyond. We had the lamb bolognese and steak salad. Perfection at every level. I must go back when I have enough people and appetite for the whipped ricotta appetizer. Love. Love. Love.

Terrible brunch service unfortunately. Once was a great place, very disappointed. order a bottle of wine, asked 3 times for it to come after waiting 40 minutes for it. Food arrived after 55 minutes of ordering and appetizer never arrived. Lots of staff but seem to forget about us. Had to get front desk reservation staff to help us as wait staff just never came over, not even to offer us water or dessert. Needs a shake up of service to get it back to what it was.

Food was outstanding - can't say enough about it. Our waiter was knowledgeable and helpful. Courses were paced perfectly. Our busman was always on the spot for clearing/cleaning - quickly/efficiently. We have been choosing upscale wedding anniversary venues over the course of 43 years. Locande Verde is definitely top 5.

This used to be a favorite spot as mine, but this last experience was not so good. Let’s start with the rules, I had a reservation for three and arrived promptly. However, the hostess was very snooty and said she could not see it until at least one of the person in the party was there? isn’t the whole snide comments, beauty, pretentious, hostess cliché? Let’s just be friendly. One of my guests ordered the rigatoni and goat cheese, Burrata. He said the dish was good, but he also asked for bread so that he could scoop up the remaining sauce bits - it was ordered, then never came. The waitress never bothered to say it was on its way, never bothered to say I’m sorry that it took so long to receive, nothing. I ordered the arugula salad. It was delicious, however, there were no offerings for any proteins on the side. Overall, this was disappointing as this used to be a favorite Spot.
